Pistols+Gotma Questions

Im looking at either some 189 pistols or some 183 Gotmas. Any info on flex, how they handle and comparissons with other skis would be helpful.(from people whove actually skied them) Looking at them mainly for back country but ill jib with them too.

 
pistols are sick. i've never skied the gotamas, but have heard that they are noticeably stiffer than pistols. i'd go with pistols unless you are a bigger dude or like stiff sticks

gotama is one of the stiffer fatty fat twins, not as stiff as the explosive, but definitely stiffer than any other ski mentioned in this thread so far

pistols are hella nice. not too stiff. alot better for not powder than the gotamas (smaller waist), and are still hella easy to spin on. (i got the 179 pistols)

i rock the pow like none other
 
It all comes down to whether you want a strict powder ski, or something that you can take everywhere. Pistols kill the deep stuff, but they work on groomed. Gotamas are getting a bit big to really be an effective all-around choice.

i havent skiied the volkls, but pistols are such an awesome ski. they work everywhere. orgasmic in powder especially.
