It's actually our site, we've been live almost two weeks. I spotted a few clicks sourced from newschoolers.com in our analytics so I thought I'd come and say hi.

Looks like a great and very active forum here. I haven't come to plug or promote, but I'll stick around and read a few threads if that's OK?

Yeah I think your site is a great idea. It seems like it could be very successful and useful over time when more people start using it and rating the resorts.

Might want to double check some of your locations. In 10 seconds I found 3 resorts listed in Oregon that aren't actually in oregon.

While we hope we'll be as useful as Carole thinks we will in time, we're certainly not claiming to have everything right or to have coverage of all resorts in the world. It's very early days for us.

North America is tough because you have a lot of small, weekend hills that are heavily used by locals but not as popular for tourists. Japan is also really hard in terms of coverage (many challenges). Initially, we've taken a "world's most popular" approach, as we want to be an international resource. If we've missed any really obvious resorts, please let us know.

In the short term, we'll be looking to expand our coverage of interactive trail maps (currently around 100), rather than trying to cover every hill with a lift. We do have a US latitude/longitude check on our todo lists (we have 446 resorts right now), so expect us to get more accurate over time.

We're a small team, which means we can move quickly so if you're happy to report things to us we'll get the fixed up quickly.
