i was on kazaalite today.. and i realized somthin.. i was downloding a 750 dollar program..and then i looked at all the programs i had on my PC and must have like 10grad worth of hacked software.. and like..its gettin outta hand..anyone else find that they dont even bother buying software anymore? we gotta stop this, cause eventally, the software will stop comming.

yea, all you have to do is d/l the program, find a crack and yer done - $$$$ program for free all in about a half hour or so. its so easy and so rampant that hey we might feel the effects soon. ive done it and somtimes i feel uncomfortable about it. idk though...

yea I don't even realize it anymore.. but when you think about it theft is theft. kinda makes you feel bad, but realistically speaking, who wants to pay upward of $500.00 for something you may only need for 10 minutes.

yea kevins got a good point. i don't want to pay the 600 bucks (approx) for PhotoShop. but i do want to edit images beyond the capability of MS Paint. Maybe if Adobe put out like a freeware version or somethign where you could d/l it on your computer and use for like 2 days and then the program would just self delete. like it would just have the basic functions and what not. maybe...

the companies probably take this fact into account, and that is why they charge hundreds of dollars for their programs. if you download them in moderation, then it shouldnt be too much of a problem.

I have downloaded prolly 200 games that are 30-50 dollars each, and have like 20 programs that are 600 dollars and up in price. But i dont get any of it from kazaa, and I delete half of it after a week.

Companies like Adobe benefit from kids pirating their software. Adobe's income comes from proffessionals and corporations who do purchase and have license their products. You have to remember, if you were unable to pirate photoshop, would you have really spent the money on it? The industry doens't necessarily lose potential profits by kids downloading their software. If it wasn't for kids downloading the software, a lot of kids would never become interested in image editing and creation and never become professionals at some point. Software companies make most of their money contracting out their services, selling licenses to their products, and providing technical support.

 
Yes, i have a whole spindle (approx.. 50) FULL of pirated software.. im taking advantage of it will it lasts.. For example.. i have a few different versions of autocad all ranging from 2-4g each..

my friend started a webpage making company and he makes like 500 per page and he bought frontpage after learning to use the pirated version.

Haha why the hell does he use frontpage? Dreamweaveris 10 times better than it. I agree about the kids eventually buying the programs though. Like I have gotten really into graphic and webdesign and I might go into that as my profession later on so I will have to buy the programs. But if I hadn't been able to download them, then I would never have gotten so interested in them.

when i downloaded photoshop and premiere i was like oh shit what if i get caught. But now i don't really care. 500 bucks for a computer program is waaaaaaaaaay too much.

the way i look at it is, if im not gonna pay the ammount its worth, ill download it. if its a prog that i can afford and is worth the money i will buy it. im not be able gonna pay for 3dsmax or any of the adobe progs, so whats the harm in downloadn it.

 
i wish you could do that with other stuff, like just go and get a copy of a nice car for free and laugh at all the suckers who paid retail.

i have to get my computer serviced, so i go to drop all the hacked programs off my computer then re-install them after,

i probley have about 5 grand worth of software right now.... 4 free

I have a few illegal programs on my computer, sometimes I do get a twinge of guilt. If it bothers people that much/starts to get noticed by feds, then I will switch completely over to linux.

go to and download k lite ++. Its worthe it, virus checker, u have a rating of supreme being, no adds, or spyware.. and it goes faster cause of the option to jump supernodes.

I use IRC to get stuff. THere are a ton of channels with stuff and you can get movies, games, programs, anything. Plus there are no viruses and 99% of the time you actually get what you are trying to download unlike Kazaa.

 
In IRC there are many servers that you can connect to that have a bunch of bots that are sharing files. You simply download those from them.

 
i was on IRC for about 10 minutes, got called a newb about 100000000 times.. left and cried in my room for an hour.

wait im an idiot soo....i downloaded adobe..works fine and the serial number...and its on my comp..but if i want to burn it on a cd for use on another computer and i dont want to use the cd every time,i need the crack right?

i dont like the warez sites, too many pop-ups and shit. and a lot of times i find my self going in circles following links. and then u have to download a prog in 40 parts. kazzaa is so much easier. and if you are really woried about viruses go to verifieds.com i think it is. but its easy to point out the viruses anyway

 
Try to get hooked up with FTP sites, IRC or maybe even try using Bittorrent. These things have much more content then Kazaa, no viruses generally and are more reliable.

FTP's are cool, but so is IRC. Its kinda similar. I only use internet sites to find serial codes and cracks, never to actually DL a program from.
