i would have to say that by far the best pirate was barthalomew roberts, of wales. otherwise known as black bart.

the other querstion that i often ponder is weather i would have rather been a pirate in the carribbean, based out of somewhere like antigua or jamaca, or weather the indian ocean pirate base of madagascar is what i would prefer. you also have to question what time period would have been best for piracy. i hold with the common view that the early 18th centrury (1719 or thereabouts) would have been prime. anytime before that, and you were basically a mercenary, or a privateer. still connected to a state government in all likleyhood. after the close fo the war of spanish secession, however, is when pirates really became their own entity, running up the black colors, and declaring war on all the world. that is really why the time period from 1710-1725 is known as the golden age of piracy.

another aspect of piracy that i like is the vigilate nature of it. i mean, what vindication they must have felt as they boarded prize vessels, and took the fate of the captain in their hands, according to the testimonies of the captured crew.

You need to get "Sid Meier's Pirates!" for PC. Such an awesome game. It's a remake of an older console game on genesis. I have it, and you're basically a pirate, and you sail the high sees searching for booty, feel free to attack whatever you want, ships, towns doesn't matter. But you gotta search for your lost family... cause they miss you... and just remember cannons are for pussies, real pirates just ram the ship and have a man to man sword fight.
 
there were a bunch of pirates on the price is right the other day. one made it to the showcases. ten he got bob in the eye with his hook. arrgghh

So the captain of the pirate ship is steering the ship. The first mate comes up and asks "How did you lose your leg?" The Captain replied " None yer buisness" The First mate then asks "How did you lose your hand?" The captain replied " Non yer buisness. The first mate then asked "Why do you have a stuffed pirate on your shoulder?" The captain then grabed the wheel to the ship and shoved it in his pants and slaped the first mates hands on to the wheel. The first mate then asked, "why'd you do that captain?"..... The captain replied "Your driven me nuts!"
 
i woulda loved to be a pirate, theyre so fuckin badass. the only thing i dont like about pirates is that they dont get any ass livin on a boat full of dude-pirates. now if i was rollin with phat chick-pirate i'd be down with that
 
Ninjas and pirates are mortal enemies. ninjas totally flip out and kill pirates all the time. i know this may sound like im repeating myself, but seriously, ninjas are so freakin sweet they make me want to pee myself. check out the site to see why ninjas are way more sweet and get way more babes then pirates.

Yeah man Pirates are mega cool! Samuri would win against a ninja. Pirates are the sweetest thing. not the new school ones. if a pirate with a patch eye and a cutlass came onto my boat i would give it to him!
