Pirates of the caribbean: Dead Man's chest

mesa think i will go tommorow night to check it out...but i have noone to go with becasue my gf ditched me for 6 weeks...
 
I'm seeing it tonight...the first one, and even these previews...make me want to play Sid Mier's PIRATES!...It's a great game haha.
 
i saw the first one maybe 10 times (probably more)

the plot has soooo monay holes its laughable
 
that movie sucked ass it was 2 and a half hours of crap. it was a filler for the third movie. what a waste of time. johnny depp is the only good part becasue hes funny.
 
yeh i was in line at 12 to buy tickets for a 12:05 show. 2 people in front of us got tickets like not the people in front of us but the ones in front of them. our friend was supposed to buy tickets for us ahead of time because we knew it would end up getting sold out but he like forgot to or something so we called him while he was in the the theatre to come out get a refund on their tickets and we'd just go to a different theatre a couple towns away that had a showing at like 12:30. but they were being little bitches and refused so we peed on their car door handles. ill probably end up seeing it sometime this week im a little less stoked now that people are talking it down.
 
^did you go to buckland. i called em earlier in the night and they said you had to get there around 10ish to get tickets. i ended up going to plainville where they said to get there around 11 and it wasnt that packed. but they had 4 theatres open for it
 
It wasnt bad but if they just would have cut out that whole part with them on the island with the natives it would have made it much shorter and that part was pretty lame anyway.

jea just got back..thougth it was pretty good...the 3rd one will be better...kind of shit ending though...
 
How can so many people have like that movie? All I could think about after I saw it was that I wanted the last 2.5 hours of my life back. I'm all for fantasy and what not, but the storyline was retarded. Also, it was 2.5 hours long and nothing happened. It just sort of stopped at a random point. I hated that movie, unless the headlines for the third movie is "Total Redemption", I'm not watching it.
 
It's better when straight men appreciate other men's looks. It's safer.

Other than that, I went at 11:59 thursday night. Wasn't bad, wasn't fantastic. The best part was when Johnny Depp and Keira Knightly (the two most attractive people in the movie) kissed. Mmmm, Keira Knightly...
 
im very mad that i see that it wasnt very good, although i need to stick to my word and see it
 
did any one stay to the very end after the credits? i thought it was funny but im not sure if it was worth staying the extrat 10mins
 
wat happened ?? cuz i knew something would, and i waited like half the time, but this girl called me and told me to meet her outside the theater, so i left..
 
all that happened is the native tribe that had jack as their cheif had made the dog that was left on the island their new cheif. It was funny but i dont think it was worth waighting the 10mins to see it
 
Great Movie!!!!! i can't believe it got poor reviews....it made reference to the first one, and it set you up for the next......its a WaltDisney Ghost story people....and it was great!

 
it was terrible, im getting sick of good plots for movies being ruined because they are made "kid friendly", so the companies and corps can make more money, because they know a PG rated makes more than a R rated. greedy pricks
 
i thought that because this movie had such high expectations from the 1st one that alot ppl did not like this 1 as much

That was the worst film i have ever seen. For such a powerful cast they should have done much better. The plot line...if there was one...was so scatterbrained it was hard to follow. I counted 15 sub-plots, each knawing away at the central theme, which had it been left alone could have been decent.

Furthermore the writing was atrocious. The jokes werent funny, the love story cheezy, and the diction was poor.

If i wasnt at a local 'mom and pop' theater i would have asked for my money back, and if i wasnt with my faimly i would have left in the middle.

Rating: Patetic. I am sorely dissapointed.
 
thats too bad that you saw it that way, i thought it was great how they were referencing the jokes from the first one...and yes there were a few sub plots....but almost none of them have been answerd yet...but like i said you all have to remember that this is Walt Disney...and its a story about Pirates and Ghosts...what did you expect? it was still good in my opinion.

 
and there are some sub plots that cant be answered because its only the 2nd movie...its the middle of a triolgy.

Hell...it wasnt even supposed to be a trilogy and i think they did a decent job at it.
 
i honestly didnt like it. can i make a guess saying the guy didnt die and will come back next movie. im not saying which guy cuz that'll give it away
 
^Obviously he's alive, did you sleep through the last 5 minutes? Why did you want him to die?

But hey guys, remember, it's a Disney movie. Chill. Some aspects of the plot are a bit tacky, but that doesn't take away from the fact that Johnny Depp and Kiera Knightly are smoking, or the fact that PIRATES ARE AWESOME. Go to the drive-in. Drink some rum. Have a sword fight with something that's not a sword...and appreciate it for what it is.
 
^bingo... i thought the movie was terrible. had nothing on the first one. Maybe i dreamed this... but when Kiera is walking down the hall in the beggining of the movie... there is totally nip-slip.

I sucks becuase they are trying to relate crazy ass shit from like Narnia to Pirates... real pirates never had to deal with dudes that looked like hermit crabs
 
but its a fictional story about ghosts...i mean everyone can have their own opinion and thats fine.  but it just seems like everyone is missing the point.  but then again what do i know?

 
I saw it last friday .. I thought it was pretty good. I actually liked it better than the first one. Usually I hate it when they make sequels but this one was good. Yah it seemed to go on for a really long time...but the ending was pretty good. I am looking forward to the third one now.
