Pipe cleaners on rails

Well its a race base, so its softer to absorb wax. Its not recommended, I think for good reason, no experience though.

actually they are supposed to be sick outside the park/pipe. I think they would be the sickest all mtn/jump/pipe ski. The race base and the stiffer tip just makes it perfect for out of the park.

They're not that expensive are they? And rails do damage to all skis, it's just does it alittle faster on PC's, it still wouldn't stop me.

Pipe cleaners are expensive, more than the AR6. Its not going to be that much better in the park (unless your all about pipe, and haulin ass) to make it worth spending extra money on a ski that will get fucked up. I mean its a race base, so if you hit rails its not worth the extra money for a base thats too soft.

Most of you that are complaining are just fuken hatin and jealous. If you had the money and really wanted, you would get it. And if you had it and wanted to hit rails, you would hit it. Not that big fuken deal. Its not like PC is gonna break after 1 day because your hitting fuken rails. How long the skis last doesn't really matter what skis they are. They are perfect skis that are cheaper that can get fuked up before the PCs and there are skis that will last longer than PCs. Its not that BIG FUKEN DEAL, don't fuken hate.

To me that seems like buying a Porche to use it for plowing snow. If I got the PCs, which I would if I had the money, I would use them for ripping around and in the pipe, as that is what they are designed for. The fact that they are not designed for jibbing per se is enought to make me think that perhaps one should not jib on them if you want their entire performance on the rest of the hill.

well, there specialty, is there base and edges, so using them on rails would kind of defeat the purpose. however there your skis so use them how you want. theres not really a bad ski for rails... sooo go for it if you must

thye are dope on rails... my friend has them and he always talks about how sick they are... i rode them a few times and i want a pair myself... i just dont need another park ski that is that expensive.

theyre actually pretty good on rails... have like 10ish days so far on them (crappy beginning season) and all the scrathches ive got are from hitting rocks and theyre not that deep

they pretty nasty everywhere actually, not just pipe

but the topsheets are kinda peeling a little bit, not enough to make like a huge diff, but still kinda worrying that a 700$ ski topsheets peel after like 2 days

you're retarded because you are hitting rails with those skis. thats why there doing that. and all top sheets chip.

im gonna name drop now

i have talked to tj schiller, tanner hall, and sean feilds and they all told me to not even slide boxes on them. tanner said the first pair he got actually blew up when hitting a rail. next years that is supposed to be fixed, but on this years they will not even look at them for warranty if there is ANY evidence of rail sliding. i have about 40 days on mine and there by far my favorite ski in my quiver.

ive seen kids doin like 450 on's and shit at my mtn and they are fine after reading the post above i wouldnt recomend it but it can be done and it works fine

i think PCs have a thinner regular edge to save weight, unlike all the reinforced and extra wide edges like the addicts and dumonts. I remember reading somewhere they shouldnt be used on rails. They also have a race base so im guessing that would get damaged kinda quick. Plus theyre super expensive so i just wouldnt. get some ar6s

why doesnt someone just call an armada rep or someone from armada that knows about the p.c's and ask them..just end this

ok well yeah i know there are better skiis for that, but i was talking to some peoele who demoed them at summer camps at hood and whistler and they said that those and the ar6's were nasty so when i went to buy the ar6's the im like whats the diff besides the edges and race base and the guys like price..but the pc's are a much better deal

so i got them

if i had more $$ i would have bought another pair of something, but right now im like 500$ in debt for other ski stuff so i cant really buy anything

....and i dont think ill be hitting rails like tj, tanner etc. anytime soon.... in terms of speed on or like size of rails

but point taken they get messed up on rails..illwatch for that

If you do alot of rails on PCs your edges will blow out wicked fast because of the softer base and the thinner edges. END OF STORY, if you're ok with that reality, then get them because they're and amazing ski

these skis are fast out of the park so they are actually pretty fun out of the park. sliding a rail though? why the hell would you do that on those skis? Its not worth it. Those bases are designed by atomic like a race ski, they are so soft you can mark them up with your fingernail. Not for boxes or rails, what a waste.

They have the EXACT SAME edge as the AR6... 2.5mm.. They never were made with the 1.7mm as planed...

The only difference between the PC & AR6 is a. Race Base and b. the AR2 Core (no hardwood in the direct center, same as ARV)

If you don't mind messing the base up then go for it.. they will hold up.. Theres a kid at the mountain that uses them as his park ski.. They are doing just fine..

My PC's are just for the pipe, hauling ass, and some occasional hits..

I love them and an trying to make them last, so the THall or my AR6 are the only ones that see the metal...

Even JP "doesn't ski the AR6 anymore".. It's the JJ, ARG, & PC... and by they way that was a direct quote...

yeah i really havent noticed any thing huge thats happened to them besides some minor scratches that wax fixed and the de-edging that happens with most skis on rails/boxes

nothing that a wax or sharpen couldnt fix...

but they are nasty skis
