Pipe Cleaner/AR6 - 176 vs 181

so I will be grabbing some pipe cleaners next week and am debating over what length to get. Next season I will be hopefully under 6'1" and around 160. This year I was skiing 181 chronics, but was thinking 176 PCs would be a fair amount easier to spin than 181s(because they are shorter and weigh less). I was hoping some guys around my weight or heavier have skied both and could talk about how much stability is lost from 181 to 176, and how much easier the 176s are to spin(or is that mostly in my head?). I mostly care about jump and pipe performance. Also I was thinking 1cm back from true center would be a good mount, anybody palyed around with the mount on these? again I only care about how well these will do in the park. Boots will be Il Moros with all the stiffest things on(both rivets, black tongue), or some Full Tilts with possibly the orange tongue.

181 no question. especially if you jumping most of the time.

as to mounting i wouldn't know. i would sugges center if you choose the longer ski

181 will be more stable. mount -2 sense they aren't ment to be mounted center and will perform better back

5cm. isn't a HUGE difference, and honestly i don't really see any difference in 5cm as far as how easy to spin. you said that you'll be skiing mostly jumps and pipe, 181 no doubt would be perfect so much more stable, and as i said you won't really notice that much of a difference in length for spinning. mostly people will get shorter skis so that they can get super tech on rails, but since you'll be skiing mostly pipe and jumps, get the 181 without a question.

thanks guys I have the 181 on hold for me(to be bought with a store credit). How much more do you like shorter skis on rails, though? I have some 168 beater skis I can use next season and for this summer, but was thinking the PCs would be alright too.

yeah the 181's definitely won't be an issue on getting tech on rails, just shorter skis are easier to. shoouldn't be a problem, and the 181's are basically the perfect ski for you.
