Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate

i purchased this program a couple days ago from Best Buy expecting nothin but satisfaction from the $130 i spent to get it.

unfortunately ive been experiencing two different problems with it

#1 when i attempt to play clips in the "Edit" step of the process, the clips lag and its impossible just to watch what im tryin to edit. when i say lag i mean the video starts gettin choppy and skips and it cant keep up with the audio

#2 in the "Make a Movie" stage i always get an error reading "Export Failure (rendor error)" when it attempts to rendor the transitions and effects

i just purchased a brand new hp laptop with a 2.1 intel core 2 duo processor and 3 gigs of memory so i dont think it should be my computer

any help with these problems would be great thanks!
 
pinnacle sucks, i used to edit with them. very buggy and not too many features. Also i hate how they try to sell you extra features. When you buy software, it should include all the software you need
 
I got Pinnacle Studio 11 Plus a year ago for free and have been using it ever since. If Studio 12 is anything like 11, then it will lag from time to time. Its not that bad. The features arent great, but are very doable for making some nice edits. Ive made all my edits using pinnacle. Its just hard to get used to. Im gona upgrade soon to a better program when i get a new camera.
