quick question , how many of you actually ski on girls skis? my sister, who is an avid freeskier needs new planks for next year. Im trying to convince her that gender specific skis dont exist and she should rock some male skis for next year (for more steeze). am I right on the whole gender specific ski thing or does it actually make a difference?

no man get her some steezy skis ,

who cares that they are mad lighter and softer for girls who are not going as big and weaker phiscally

just get her some hyphysticks and she'll be all good because she'll have some steezy skis and tall tees

Of course it makes a difference. Don't be retarded man, the ski is built completely differently to cater for a lighter, less aggressive skier. By your logic, every skier donning a 'tall t' and a pair of Line's would be a decent skier.

ok, you tell me which gender has a larger selection of skis, male or female. Im giving her options. she doesn't care what they look like.

ok yea but it not like she's hitting anything gnarly either, if i was to buy her male skis they would be juniors anyways (she's 12, INB4 pedobears) so it doesn't really make a difference at that age anyways correct?

She needs to be on junior skis, I'm not sure if there is actually a male/female difference at that age, but you'd have to ask your dealer. Though I'm pretty sure junior skis are just graphic differences for female/male.

if you can find her a guys ski that seems better for her than any girls ski, go for it. i wouldnt be exclusive, just because you could be limiting your options by only sticking to girls skis. look at both gender and just find something that will work. if you have the opportunity get her to demo a few pair of both guys and girls skis.

Get her the K2 Missdemeanor or the Volkl Pearl. 2 of my chick freeskier friends have them and they hold up great for 270s out of rails and 5s off of 30 foot jumps.

I ride "girl skis" but it honestly doesn't matter, a lot of girls do ride a men's model. I always just choose whatever I feel looks the best and feels best to ski on.

i ride on womens line shadows and i love them way more then i love my afterbangs just cause of how light the womens are.

You'll find most womens skis have a lighter, softer core and many have less metal and/or a forward mounting point.

The higher end womens skis are the real deal, not just dumbed-down, shorter mens skis.

but since she is twelve I would go with line snow angle or shadows or k2 misdemeanor

Womens skis they are lighter and you can find them super cheap this time of year. I just bought my girfriend a pair of Volkl Gems for $110 and she likes them. I would say buy her womens skis.

I ride the line shadow skis and I love them because they are pretty light and I feel like I have more control with them. I used to ride line invaders but I switched over to the shadows last year and I like them a lot better. I would go with women's skis
