not saying i am a supporter of the war because Bush took it WAY out of proportion, I could understand us looking for osama as a suspect or whatever but then to completly change our focus onto Iraq is what I think is bullshit about the war.

And you can argue both sides of the Saddam question. America sponsered his placement as president of Iraq. Sure he was a son of a bitch, but only because we put him there.

Iraq is a nation composed of mostly Shiites. Saddams Baath party was Sunni. You might as well have just shoved a protestant mayor into a Catholic town in Ireland. Sure the US openly condemned his actions, but you think behind the curtains they werent happy at the atrocities he committed?. It made sure he stayed in power. As long as there was a Sunni government in Iraq, the Iranians, to the Americans logic, had soemone to fight but the west.

Not that the Iranians are shit disturbers to begin with, the majority of uneducated Americans are just Islamophobic.

After the Cambodians went and killed 3.5-4 million of their own. He was getting rid of the Khmer Rouge, who by the way acted aggressivly against Vietnam, practically inviting them in.

But even Fox News notes that the weapons were no longer functional and were pre-1991 (First Gulf War). Remember those weapons I told you about that we sold them in 1980? Yea, those are them. Are they 'lethal' in the sense that if a moron opened it up and sucked the contents out through a straw he would die? Yes. This is the same sense that antifreeze is lethal (not normally considered a WMD). Do these weapons possess any type of mass dispersal capability? No. THEY ARE OLD AND FUCKING DEGRADED. Why didn't W make a big deal out of this? Because we know they had chemical and biological WMD in 1980, we helped them get them. Get your head out of your ass.
 
Is it though?  There is no question that Saddam was a horrible person, but what did it really chance....instead of him killing his own people it is now us doing it or themselves.  Not much really changed there, all it did was cost a lot of money and kill a lot of people.  Progress has been so slow there, so many people die each day.  

I know he was bad and should have been hung, but I really don't know if you can say the world is now a better place because of the War in Iraq.  I would love to...but more and more feel like it has done much more damage than doing nothing would have done.

Plus...it completely fucked up our military operations in Afganistan, which is where we should have actually been.

I dunno....it is all just very depressing to think about these days. Such a mess.

I agree. If I was a music star, I would be singing about all kinds of issues that I really felt strongly about, especially politically. Remind you, Pink is older than probably everyone here, has a shit load of money has made it in the world and will be comfortable for awhile. I do not listen to her music, but the lyrics of that song are pretty cool and creative. Free speech is still allowed in this country thank god so seriously, grow some balls and if you really support war, dont just wait for the fucking draft, sign up now. It's not just a few either, were turning that country to shit because we are fighting something you can't kill with guns. Iraq's government needs to be fixed, there needs to be an argeement between the shittes and the sunnis before anything can go forward. If we leave there will be a civil war and the country will collapse on itself. Everyday we stay more civilians are killed because of our presence.
