Pink Floyd

Back in the underground years, they did light shows using slides of different oils. This unique talent got them noticed, after that, they started doing different and bigger gigs. One gig they had a giant octopus emerge from a pond, killed all the fishes.

I'm still uncovering and searching for the vinyls. I have all the collection but "A Saucer Full of Secrets" and "Obscured by Clouds" on my iPod. My dad is also a huge fan.

Read "Inside Out" by Nick Mason, it gives such an insight to all their stuff.

i have all the albums on the computer

on vinyl i have:
dark side of the moon
animals
atom heart mother
meddle
piper at the gates of dawn
the wall
more

good stuff

im glad other people like their music as much as i do. theres not too many kids that i hang out with that like pink floyd. they changed music forever especially with dark side of the moon. dark side of the moon was so different and genius for the time it came out. it is still genius. i listen to dark side of the moon once a day cause i have to drive a lot everyday. that album always relaxes me and puts things in perspective. pink floyd is not just another band they sing about things that everyone can relate too. their lyrics are genius. pink floyd teaches life lessons through their music.

L-Dub started a pink floyd cult. hasnt seen much action yet, but i imagine he would welcome more members.....

Darkside was brilliant on so many levels. For the band, it was their first ablum that had a theme to it. Darksides theme was the struggles of life. It appealed to many people, In "inside out" by Nick Mason, He thinks that it did so well just because it appealeld to everybody. There were so many different elements in the album that you don't really see these days anymore. The little talking bits in during the songs. They went around Abbey Road studios and asked people how the thought about the theme subjects and the album, It was a last minute thing.

I tihnk it was the fact that Roger made all the albums with certain themes, that made them so succesful

I'm assuming The Machine is a cover band. Also check Aussie Floyd, The Australian Pink Floyd, they are absolutely amazing, light show, note for note, couldn't believe it.

listen to the easy star allstars cover of money. instead of the cash register and change at the beginning he does the same thing but with the sounds of ripping a bong. so dope

ive seen a few cover bands of pink floyd but the machine is by far the best. the singers voice sounds EXACTLY like syd barrett and they play everything with genius. the light show at the show i saw was phenomenal, too. best ive seen.

My favorite band. Words cannot describe how brilliant these men were. The only accurate way to understand their brilliance is to listen to their music.

the machine is coming to burlington soon and i think playing dark side of the moon start to finish. veryyyy excited.

dude pink floyd is beyond amazing

i almost cried when I heard the news of Richard Wright...

but yeah their shits just dope

trips me out everytime i listen

Pink Floyd is amazing. Musical effing genius, roger waters. I have a bunch of their vinyl. however, i think they ARE a bit over-rated. not talking them down, just not making them out to be God, ya know?

I have the flu, so all I've been doing today is staying home and playing guitar and learning how to play some of their songs.

I just dialed the solo in Time. Booyah!

time solo is sick

breathe is actually a good song to play on guitar too

you can make it sound sexy with bit of extra riffs here and there

ive seen roger waters perform like 5 times, and I saw David Gilmour perform once.....FUCKING AMAZING!

Sucks Wright died, I woulda paid big money to see a reunion tour even though gilmour and waters still wont agree to do it....

I love pink floyd. Easily one of my favorites. I landed my first 7 to Great Gig in the Sky. I should download some more albums. I wish I could smoke and listen to them again. Ahhh I miss those days.

One of the best bands ever, no doubt. I went to the Pink Floyd Experience a few years ago it was off the hook, did dark side then the full wall show. awesome set including the wall, motorised lighting trusses that were rising up n down through different parts of the show.. yeah it was sweet, hope they come back soon it was pretty expensive for a cover band, like $70ish but def worth it!

syncing dark side and wizard of oz is pretty dope too. google dark side of oz or dark side of the rainbow if you don't know what I'm on about
