PINK FLOYD

pink floyd is sooooo sick, both musicly and for tripping to.

I love the longdrown out guitar solos rather then the realy fast paced ones, jsut sick in general

i love pink floyd like a fat kid loves chocolet. especially the stuff that was done with the origional singer. sid barrock.

everybody look into his work.

yea but now due to a few to maney acid trips he is stuck in a mental institute, but i bleive allot of the stuff in dark side and the wall that talks about going crazey like when it goes " theres someone in my head but its not me" was inspired by him

Barrock? The guy is not a fucking army tent.

It's Syd Barrett.

If you "love" pink floyd, maybe you'd know the members of the band.

Come on man.

He's not in a mental institute, he lives in a small quiet town in england at home. There have been paparazzi photos of him.

syd lives in cambridge where he grew up, i like the story of him showing up at abbey road when floyd was recording wish you were here and they didnt even recognise him, he left in 68 and this was 75. And probably the greatest news of my life, David Gilmour and Rich wright along with some other backup members from their old tours will be coming to chicago on the 12th and 13th, Half the show is gonna be Davids favorite floyd songs, AND IM IN THE FUCKIG ORCHESTRA PIT!!!!!!!

chill buddy. so i cant spell the guys name.

just because i like a band doesnt mean i need to know everything about them. ok?

im so jealous

yea pink floyd is number one ive been saying that for quite some time, everyone should read Nick Mason (drummer for Floyd)'s Book "Inside Out, a story of Pink Floyd" its such a good book

Actually it's more Wish you were here that is an ode to Syd. The theme of Dark side was exploring what can cause madness (Time, Money, Death (great gig in the sky), Brain Damage, etc.), and on WYWH, well, I hear Shine on you crazy diamond like a song complaining Syd's tragic end and on the actual song Wish you were here you can really hear Water's longing for Syd.

Well, my interpretation. Floyd rules.

i agree that David Gilmour is a good guitarist, and the rest of the band are great musicians, but ther music too soft.. :S i prefer hard rock.. :S

and, yes, the wall is an amazing movie, specialy when you watch it for the first at 6 years old.. LOLL

Listen to the album More, there's a couple pretty hard songs on there.

Obscured by clouds also has some harder stuff.

The song Sorrow off momentary lapse is a more commonly heard harder song.

play the wizard of oz similtaniously wid the dark side of the the moon aulbum and it is perfectly lip sinked. u can download it of limewire

funiest shit ever

Im pretty sure Waters was the one who hated syd the most. Syds first solo album was really everyone from floyd, including gilmour, except waters.

I also need more live stuff, ive got pulse and is there anybody out there, and yeah Nick Masons book Inside Out is sooo good! when we went to ireland over the summer i read it twice, that was when i was in my hardcore state of loving floyd, they were all i listened to, my dad was like, you have a problem and are obsessed

exactly, my qoute failed, i thought that by qouting you, the other qoute would get attached to, but it didn't. i was agreeing with you. ^_^

they're so awesome. dark side is one of the best albums ever. my dad saw them live, the lucky bastard. it was the darkside tour and they played for 2 1/2 hours without playing anything from darkside before they went off stage before the encore. everyone was bummed because they didn't play much from darkside when all of the sudden the heart starts beating and they proceed to play the whole album straight through. how amazing would that be to see?

Search for live at Oakland coliseum, bytes of a talisman, and smoking blues. All of these are good live albums. In Oakland coliseum they play wywh and animals. Older stuff in the other two. I got them off torrentspy
