Pink Flamingo Camp III.... Jib the turtle.

The camp will most likely happen no matter what. Even though we might lose a lot of snow there should be enough on the hill to pull from to make it happen at least in the park that we already have.

Perfects closes on the 12th and as of right now there is no plan to open back up except for PFC. So during the week of the 13-18 we (Trav, Tom, Adam, and myself) drive the snowcats every night, all night to push snow from surrounding areas to fill our giant "park" with snow. So we take snow from Clyde's superslide, Center Stage, the beginner area and Chair two and make all of the giant features you will see at PFC III. So lay your minds to rest, PFC will happen.

Keep em coming.

yeah if the weather gets super bad we will still have every rail out except maybe the huge ones, but something fun will go down. And to Milkshake we will take snow from everywhere else to make it happen

ohh nevermind wasnt that the one a few months bak where a lift pole got knocked down??? sorry i thought another one happened recently..

does anybody have anything to say to help my dad understand that this camp is gonna have snow!?!??! PLEASE H E L P!!!

yeah we will be posting pics as the terrain comes together, i can promise that, and we will be stealing snow from everywhere, not because we will need it, but because we want everything to be plenty big....

i was wondering if there was any way someone could come just to film? I'm trying to put together a little edit for my local shop to see if they would be interested in a sponsorship but i havent got much good footage this year.

^ yeah... Trav said in another forum "last year we had media passes free, but you have to have one to film (so the waiver thing is taken care of) and you must be on foot. i would assume that would be the same this year"

So yeah..... but they can't have skis on, and they have to get this little pass thing so if they get hurt they can't sue.

when we start. we'll start making stuff on monday.... and im sure the first couple days of work will just be compling the snow from everyone into the park... so nothing will be too noticeable. just be patient... check back next week.

man what isa their to do that is like simi close to perfect? because my mom is taking me and 2 buddies and she wants somthing to do while we ski the whole day any suggestions?

yeah if your dad needs proof that there will be snow have him check the webcams at perfectnorth.com and tell him to keep in mind that we are pushing all the surrounding snow into the 3 lanes for park....but the park still has 2 big hits, a smaller hit at top, a rail line, and a step on step off thing right now, that will all still be there for pfc, and we are adding 3 other lanes that are just as wide as the original park, and pulling snow from everywhere. and all the little rails will be over from jam session, the dreaded triple kink will be out, swingset, wally, and we will have beginner stuff in one area, and huge filming stuff in another area... we will split into groups for coaching and if you dont need it you can bail and go do whatever you want but that way you know a coach to ask about stuff...filming is more than welcome but the filmer must be on foot and must fill out a form and get a pass, if you want follows your gonna have to ask a coach, or bring a friend that is a camper

Yo line dawg... tell you mom that there is Greendale Cinema (7min away)

Argosy Casino(13min away)

And greater Cincinnati is only 45min away

thanx for all the feed-back guys.. i think im gonna beable to go!!! yeah... but i gotta question.. i can do 180s- 7's so wut should i put as my level?? like i wanna come out of the camp better ..any tips?

cheap hotels CLOSE to pns- only one i found that is close is a holiday inn express and the cheapest room is $117 p/ night and 130 sumtin with tax!!! NE HELP!?

^ i found more than that!! did you go to map quest and look under hotels. keep in mind that perfect is so close to the border of ohio and indiana and kentucky that you might find hotels in all 3 states, i found some for like 50 some that are only like 11 miles away.

hey im about 90% sure that i am going is it ok if i go ahead and fill out a form online, or am i going to get screwed if somthing goes wrong and i cant go?

yeah fill out the form, you aren't obligated to anything when you do since you dont have to pay until the morning of the first day of camp.

yeah the online form is for putting people in groups before the camp, and knowing how many burgers/doughnuts/tshirts to get for the whole thing... you pay day of but filling out online will save you time day of as you wont have to fill out this info again, and we will order you a shirt and such.... as for ability, if your 180-7 i would go ahead and put advanced spins, it will pretty much put you in a group about the same, and chances are the advanced group will mostly just want to film, so you can have a coach to yourself. hope for good weather and this thing will be out of control

most likey^... i will deff be around filming everyone too. i think this year we are going to try and film the whole PFC expirience and put it on a dvd

alright i dunno if this has already been asked ... but besides rails wut kinda hits r there gonna be like sizes and shit cuz i got the "sweet" mad river and the biggest there is maybe a 30 footer on a good day

we'll have everything.... from 5 feet, to hopefully 65 feet. there'll be plenty to learn on, and a big enough one to throw down on.

there should be some nice 25-30 footers to learn on, then some bigger ones to step up the tricks you just learned to, but don't take my word for it. and i'm pretty stoked for the 50+ footer, hopefully it goes down.

Over 65 people are signed up right now... i've been running some numbers and stuff and there will likely be 4-6 campers per coach... there are something like 28 boarders and 37 skiers 2 girls 4 people from michigan, which is awesome you michiganers should recruit some more!!!

Everybody pray for the weather to clear up!!!

Keep any questions you have coming!!

Tad

how is the snow up their? are you guys loosing alot? and are the landings going to be rocks because of the warm weather?

When the weather is warm here, it turns to pillows. It's soooo soft. We'll have a ton of salt, to make the run in's super fast/clearable/no ruts... and the landings will be great. Pray for good weather. A lot can happened between now and then.

^^^im all signed up and praying my hart out man, now all i have to do is find a hotel. "any good places around perfect"?

i dont think a week of in the 50's will really take too much snow away....but that rain mite...im reallllly hoping that it doesnt rain!!!
