Because I know newschoolers is full of children that have MDs I'm going to ask you this. What the fuck do I do now that I have pink eye? But seriously anybody ever had pink eye before? And what do I do to make it better, are you supposed to go to the doctors?

Also inb4 someone farted bare ass on your pillow, that didn't happen.....that I know of.
 
lolololol pink eye sucks. My friend had severe pink eye in both eyes for like 2 weeks. GO TO THE DOCTOR. You'll get anti-biotics. But mostly you have to wait it out.
 
The funniest thing about pink eye is that if you touch your eye and then touch your friends eye they get pink eye also
 
You can, but usually the don't use medicine to treat it (as far as I'm aware, don't take this ladies word for it, I would say make an appt for sure). Home remedies are best - keeping it clean, warm compress (warm moisture can cause it to spread from eye to eye tho, so careful), etc etc. Usually goes away in 3-5 days.
 
pink eye fucking sucks i feel ya bro, when i had it the doctor gave me some antibacterial eyedrops and they worked like a charm, both eyes cleared up in 3 or 4 days

a friend of mine who had it at a similar time (it was sort of an epidemic at our school) relied on some "home remedies" and had it for over 2 weeks before he finally went to the doctor and got real medicine after which he got better in a few days.
 
Wash your hands a lot. Don't touch your infected eye and then touch your other eye. Change your pillowcase frequently. Get some good eye drops from the doctor. Shit sucks so bad.
 
Yeah I mean it sucks because basically you are stuck at home from school because of an eye infection... But if your friends give you shit for it or wont stop talking about how someone farted on your pillow, just rub your eye a lot then touch theirs. That'll show them.
 
Yeah man sorry pink eye blows. Go to the doctors. They don't really do anything to you, but they will be able to tell that you have pink eye just by looking at you. The treatment is bottle of antibiotic eyedrops which suck but they work.

And you have to stay home so you don't infect anyone. Also, as tempting as it is- don't touch your eyes. This will only make it worse and spread the infection.
 
I had it earlier this year and I got some weird ointment from my doctor to put in my eye. It went away in like 3 days. Just wash your hands a lot.
 
Just throwing this out there cause I thought I had pink eye last spring...

Symptoms were the same as pink eye. Got all crusty. Then took a few days to heal. Went to doc, had anti biotic drops.. blah blah blah.

Put contacts in and got the same problem. went through again. this time with steroid drops.

Took 6 months to figure out that I had become allergic to silicone contacts. Apparently this is a pretty common thing but for some reason no doctor caught it. I figured it out when I was in France and really wanted to wear contacts so i figured i'd buy some dailies and throw em away as soon as they got sore. Never got sore and I've been wearing em since.
 
Really helpful thanks everyone will eventually give all of you 10/10 when I get time. Also Rachy I have contacts as well, and does anyone know if you can wear contacts while haveing pink eye? And I'm going to make a doctors appointment tomorrow I need a script for the drops.

When I had the pink eye the doctor told me no contacts. I ignored him and just put in a new pair while I was using the drops. When the drops ran out I put in a new pair again and no re-infection.

Also I figured out I got pink eye from skiing. I had a pair of old goggles that i sweated through hiking before both times I got pink eye. I figured there was some nasty shit in the foam so i threw those goggles away. Pink eye free since.
 
just had it. use the same towel for showers, change pillowcases every day, and get polysporin pink eye drops (apply 4 times a day)
 
this they are antibiotic and available on the counter at your local pharmacy. skip the doc hes gonna give you these anyways. Just go buy them and it will be gone in like 3 days, my dog just had it, gave her the same old polysporin we use and shes all cleared up!
 
Yeah, considering I had it a few weeks ago and it was the worst thing ever, GO TO THE DOCTOR.

The home remedies stuff will not work and you will eventually get it in the other eye as well. Seriously go to the doctor and get the medicated eye drops. You'll be glad you did and you'll be back to normal in a few days.
