Pinch harmonic bends

try some lighter gauge strings, i used 13s forever then got 9s, sooooo much easier to learn.

its tough to keep the right pressure on te harmonic and bend. make sure your harmonics and bends are top notch first.

youtube it thats what i did it took me lots and lots of practice to get. if your using a normal pick choke way up on it so that part of your thumb can rub against the string right after your pick hits it. I use a pick called "little stubby" they are really thick and short so they are perfect for pinch harmonics. good luck its worth it when you get the hang of them

yea i use those mini picks too. im really inconsistant with pinch harmonic bends tho

they're really not as hard as they seem

when you pick the bend, make sure that your thumb is pretty close to the tip of the pick, and after you pick, the string should hit the tip of your thumb right left of the corner of your nail. you dont want your thumb to get hit but rather just tap it. you just need to practice and see how it works on your hands.

and you dont NEED light gauge strings i use Ernie Ball regualrs and i can do pinch harmonics fine.

yeah, you're fine with 10's, which is the most common gauge so you probably already have them on your guitar, or at least have a set around. i don't use a pick for them, i hit the string with my index finger, its easier to have control over your thumb like that in my opinion. i'm still super inconsistent at them though.

Ive gotten pretty decent at them using kind of like what freezed said. I quickly put my index finger on the string in the right spot to make the harmonic sound before i pick the note, that way its a pretty strong harmonic, as long as you get a feel for the right place to put ur finger its all good. keep it up man u'll get it
