not really. but last 2 years they have come and completely destroyed our cushy early season base.

just sayin'

at least it has good stuff on the other side of it. The bad ones usually are really bad drenchers, super high snow levels (~8000+feet), and have no colder systems following it.

While it still blows (rain always sucks), there looks to be snow after it, there is a pretty good base at most of the areas already, and its mid-november

Thank god its holding up so far. Still dumping snow at stevens. Only supposed to rain tonight, then the snow level is going to drop quickly.

and it should be noted that baker has had like half a foot of rain from this storm already, so its a potent soaker

When the entire snowpack becomes soaked with water, the whole thing (even when compacted) can rip to the dirt. Look at what happened to Hyak last year.

This could mean a lot more than just slabs.

Are you guys talking North Cascades that got soaked with rain? Looks like it stayed cold enough to snow at Stevens through the warm up.

well shit dayum good gracious.

would anyone be interested in skiing this ash tomorrow? Ill be skiing all alone....

Basically anything on top of a frozen layer (or even worse, a weak layer sandwiched between two strong layers) is perfect for avalanche. In this case, it's basically the entire base on top of the ground that could slide (since the base is pretty much solid all the way through right now due to the dumping that baker got)

Dont even worry about it, avalanches only happen inbounds. You should go into the backcountry every day, its much safer that way. This advice is only for you though, I really dont want word getting out. So its a secret kay?~

Wait... if you want to learn about avalanche safety you should take an avy course? Who the fuck would think of that. K2skipunk is obviously just trolling. I mean, hes completely right about mt baker exploding (logical, it is a volcano after all) but avy course? Hahahaha avy courses are only for snowmobilers, skiers cant cause avalanches~

dude im NOT asking about weather or not i can go out of bounds or not im asking what the conditions were LIKE not exact measurements or anything and k2punkj sent me exactly what i was asking for, so chill its ski season the the 4th season of the hills

I dont know if you knew this, but once you go out of bounds at Stevens Pass is completely illegal unless you have a Washington State Backcountry Permit. You can purchase them from the county for $50 or paypal me that money and ill hook you up with one~

we're gonna feel like we're smoking pineapple express with all the POW we're getting for this weekend!!!!! SHTOKED!!!!!!

To be honest, I'd take you more seriously if you took the time to type this out better.

Just a thought. Not trying to call you out/be a douche.
