I love that show.....xzibit is the best host ever.....has anyone seen the UK version....worst show ever.

dude they dont do anything to make the car faster they just put some crappy body kit on the car and put 50 billion tvs in it. i hate the show.
 
hahaha yea ^i love how they show the car breaking down on the way into the shop n shit then when they drive away it looks perfectly fine
 
if u wanna see a show thast actually good then u need to whach overhaulin, thast a sick show, they dont just put a gay paint job on it and then tv's alover it, and they dont just put subs in it, u ever notice that on the pimp my ride show they never bother with the motor, also how they put the dumbest stuff in there cars, i mean who the fuck is gonna go whach tv in there car when they can just do that at home, and its not like there gonna whach while there drivin, also they put there tvs in dumbest places, in the body kit and they'll even put a tv under the car so u can whach tv when yer working on the bottom of it, since people do that so much, so inother words: PIMP MY RIDE IS THE GAYEST SHOW EVER, i would cry if they pimped my ride...

if u wanna see a good show then whach TLC on tuesday at 8, or 9pm and whach overhaulin, they do serious and damn good work on that show....

to correct everyone, they don't change the engine and the mechanical stuff, they just don't show it because it's "pimp my ride." "pimping" this day in age means 24' spinnas with 10 tv's and 100000 watt speakers. the producers figure that (which they are right) the kids that watch mtv don't care about anything else besides making gangsta rides because everyone is a wigger that watches mtv. ok, now start complaining and saying that i have no idea what i'm talking about.
 
If they started talking about the engine and all that other crap I would get bored. I'd be like, I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THAT ENGINE WTF IS A CAMSHAFT WTF IS AN AXEL WTF IS A WINDOW WTF IS A PISTON WTF IS BRAKELINE WTF IS A WHEEL. But since they put all these cool things that you see in Best Buy into the car it makes it an interesting tv show to watch. And you can always wonder if the car is going to get jacked cause most of those kids live in the ghetto it looks. Its tv, entertainment. This is why a lot of people games like SSX. It applies to a larger population than a show about engine parts which is only to a few.
 
exactly, the typical age that watches mtv is probably like 14-18 and most kids that watch mtv aren't interested in technical stuff and stuff about the engine and performance.
