Pictures of Detroit's horrible economic decline.

i lived in oakland county, the suburbs north of detroit and i would say that some of them are in bad shape though, people are starting to leave their houses to the banks, and alot of businesses are shiutting down. my family was really fortunate and were able to sell our house ( in rochester hills) after only being on the market 3 months (2009). alot of my friends that go to umich and msu, are having to come back and go to community college since their dads who all worked for car companies got laid off.

 
North of 10 mile is about the dividing line between good and bad, i live off 15 in walled lake, its not bad at all, except there are a lot of people that have lost jobs
 
ya detroit sucks pretty bad right now, hopefully we will make a come back in the next couple years.

there is deffinitly not horrible places though like the subs. but a lot is just really bad.
 
my dad used to work at the chrysler HQ in auburn hills, and when i went back for thanksgiving i met him for lunch there and the building was practicly empty, cubicles empty, and the people that were left and still working looked like there were on pins and needles.
 
my best friends father works in that building and my father works for Mercedes Benz so he spends some time there aswell, in my opinion Pontiac is a lot worse than Detroit, if you doubt that at all look at Scummit place and the neighborhoods and areas surrounding it
 
So i felt a little disturbed by Time being so biased in saying its such a shit hole so i decided to go downtown and watch the tiger kick the shit out of the socks.

Detroit has bad parts, but every city has bad parts, Washington Ave is pretty much the dividing line

and then once your North of Washington it gets bad, this is where Tiger stadium used to be
