picture file size?

How do you get a photo down to under 5oK without it being so small you lose all quality? I have photoshop and save as a JPEG but to get it under 50K I have to make it about an inch tall.

with photoshop you can save Jpegs with less quality. When you go to save it a thing pops up that shows the quality. Just slide it towards the less quality side.
