i dont put any blame on the soldiers... theyre doing their jobs... there are psychopaths in every line of work... the ones in this line just happen to be more intense and rape and kill people...as far as im concerned the blame still lies at the top of the command chain.

I never have seen these pictures on the news...I just hate it now because most of the pictures you see now are of the scandal where the prisoners are being abused and whatnot...you don't see these as often...

 
yea, ppl dont have to be for the war, but they shouldnt go against the soldiers. they're just doing what they are told to do by the government. they're doing theri duty for the country

Notice all these soldiers are wearing full chemical suits as well over top of their DCUs..its basically like wearing winter gear over clothes except very uncomfortable...props because that is like 140 degrees right there with the desert heats

 
yeah it bugs the hell out of me when people talk about poorly about the soldiers and stuff related to it because they are over there fighting because they were told to, not because they all met in a huge forum and had a vote. they are there for us back at home and we all owe them for that(americans that is). but when i hear americans speak poorly of our armed services it bugs the hell out of me.

thats because people dont take pictures of soldiers being nice, controversy is a lot more interesting than nice soldiers, so news stations cover controversial stories, because people watch their station and they make money, people fail to realize that news stations arent out there to provide you a fair view of what is going on in the world today, they are out there to make money, this is why people think everyone in iraq hates us, when 90% of the population is in favor of american occupation, also 98% of what soldiers are doing in Iraq is what they are supposed to be doing, its just the 2% that gets foind and blown up by the news companies for headlines, and this influences peoples opinions of iraq and it makes them against the war, people need to realize that the media is only showing you the worst parts of the war to make money

Soldiers are people just like every one of us, i never said any different. Nor does the news, its just how people interpret the news.

OK. Here is what i CANNOT stand about politics. There is no more fucking responsibility in them. Its not the soldiers fault, technically, what happenned in those prisons. There is a book given to everybody above the rank of corporal that teaches you how to mentally torture people of the islam religion. Not to mention, its the officers who have responsibility over their troops. Whatever happenned to that? It vanished ever since Reagan got into office.

I think a lot of us loose sight of the fact that soldier are real people and unlike us have to deal with the horror of killing people, seeing people killed, and seeing the horrors of iraq. Thanks to whoever posted those pictures because my uncle is in iraq right now and so are some of my friends dads and its good to see people remembering that these are ordinary people serving their countries... not the nazis who were just brain washed and set out to kill people

I have nothing agaisnt all the soldiers in Iraq serving our country. I am strongly against our occupation, but these people have little control of where they are. I am, on the other hand, strongly opposed to the cruelty that is being exerted on the people of Iraq by our soldiers. It's an atrocity. It makes not only the US but the whole human race look like a bunch of hateful fools. In addition, while i do not agree with the war in Iraq yet i have nothing agaisnt the responsible soldiers occupying the country, I hate all americans, not just soldiers, who are fascists. Being killed serving your country in a war that is completely and utterly unnessicary is not honorable.

ok i read the 90% of iraqis were for america being in iraq, and the other 10% are the radicals that are actually fighting us, and i made up the 98% but a high rate of soldiers do their jobs, yes there are things like the prison abuse, but that in no way means all american soldiers abuse prisoners, and the prison abuse is childs play compared to what happened in vietnam, so people shouldnt really blow up because of it, im just saying the media makes american soldiers out to be evil, when iraqi terrorists beat and brutally murder any american they capture, or they drag them through the streets and hang them from bridges, who are the real bad guys here, think about it
