Picking an NHL team to root for

Wow, thank you so much for the helpful post and really making me want to be a fan of the sport you cherish. Sorry if the olympics and the US and Canadian teams did a good job of gaining viewership of your sport and sorry that I have an interesting in hockey now because of it.

You need to realize that the NHL will gain tons of fans (and thereby money) that will help support your team because of the success of the Olympic hockey tournament.

Thanks for the other responses that have been helpful and actually make me want to become a fan.
 
my team doesn't need anymore money. we already have retards who pay to watch the worst team in the league and are owned by a union of teachers who only want profits and don't give a fuck about the game.

you want to support the game, play house league then volunteer to help out in the leagues below you.

Individual awards arent shit cause guess what...hockeys a teams sport...and "eurotrash" cherry picking/flashy hockey isnt going to get you anywhere......its been proven over and over....some new hockey fans are a bit to jaded to realize it...and would rather see him hendrix his stick/jump off the glass instead of win championships

the great #8 will be a rental in a few years..bank on it...how long do you think the caps will sit on his high salary without winning a cup?
 
i wasn't saying that ovechkin is the best, but merely responding to what he said about Crosby being more humble. I just don't think that Crosby is the best in the league either. I'd say Malkin, Datsyuk, or Iginla are all better players than Crosby.

Im not a washington fan, but here we go. They'd be a power house in the east whether or not Ovie played for them. They have great players. the likes of Semin, Backstrom, and Green not to mention a good keeper, Jose Theodore. the chances of them making to the stanley cup this year are higher than any previous years with Ovechkin. Don't try to dispute this. They work solidly as a unit, all three of the players mentioned are in the top 30 point leaders in the NHL, and they're on an absolute tear.

Im assuming you're a pens fan, and i'll kindly let you know there will be no repeat for you this year.
 
BRUINS! this tourney also rekindled the hockey flame for me. I used to be a hardcore B's fan when I was younger. Grew out of it though. Def watching tuesday's game now though.
 
Personally, The Sharks are my favourite team, but I grew up a pens fan because Lemeiux was a BEAST during the years I started playing hockey.

But, if you're picking one of those 3? Eh... Dont go with the Blowjobs... You're never going to be happy.
