have iphone 4s, cracked to shit, barely works.

or wait till the 11th and get the galaxy s5?

am apple fanboi, macbook, love it, hate to go opposite, but i cant make a decision?!!? price matters up to 200$

i dont do shit besides things a 14 yr old girl would use her phone for, insta, facebook, snapchat, etc...

as much of a shit bag this makes me sound, i love the thumbprint scanner! its so convenient and useful. it makes you spoiled because you get a lil upset when you have to put in a pass code. i know it sounds stupid but i love that shit. plus the slow mo camera is soo useful.
 
Yeah the thumbprint reader and slow mo camera on the 5S are both sick. Everything works really well together on it and its crazy fast
 
An advantage the galaxy has is that it's waterproof. For me, at least, that saves me $80 on a case+its not as bulky. Also, the new galaxy has a fingerprint sensor as well
 
I have a note 3 and I love it. The 5s will be outdated in a couple months if you're okay with that. The galaxy s5 looks like an awesome phone as well as long as you're chyll with android. It's really up to you, the new s5 has a fingerprint scanner like the iPhone and every new phone these days has slomo filming so don't listen to the iPhone-tards who think getting anything but an iPhone is blasphemy.
 
5c is almost exactly the same as the 5 but it has a neon case. 5s is just a faster version of the 5 with some nifty features, and about as fast as the nexus (I think)

I think the nexus is best by far seeing as it's half the price, faster, better camera and better screen. Only downside is that its an android if you're not into that.
 
I have a 5s and its fuckin sick. The touch ID is so under rated.. I basically dont even realize I have a lock on my phone because of how efficient it is. By the time i pull my phone up to use it its unlocked 85% of the time, and 14% of the time its unlocked within a second. Really cool feature.
 
honestly, i wish i still had my morotola electrify. loved that thing! it wasnt massive like every other smartphone out there and i never had one problem with it. until it broke on a rail :(
 
nokia 1020 looks pretty unreal to me. 41MP photo and full 1080p video.

have a 4s now as well and probably won't get another iPhone
 
This line right here made your decision for you.

If you don't get an iPhone, you'll regret it. I'm not a fan, but you're an admitted fanboy of apple and you have Mac everything. Keep it consistent.
 
If I was choosing between the higher end smartphones, I'd go for the galaxy s5 simply because it's the only one that's waterproof. they say 'water resistant at 1m for up to 30 minutes'. that would be the deal maker. other than that I'd no doubt be happy with any of them (other than the iphone).
 
You could be like me and ball out with a 3gs. I've had 3 in the past two years with few complaints. Then again I have limited data so I really only use it to text and surf the web when there is wifi. Maybe run a few apps. I'm gonna upgrade to a 4s soon.

I have a galaxy 4 and its camera is so sick. If you want a nice camera, galaxy is by far the best. Me and my friend who has an iphone 5s compared our cameras, and the galaxy has far better quality and more camera features and modes. the speaker is also much louder than an iphone, and obviously the screen is bigger.
 
just so you know android and macbook compatibility is fine. really easy to use file transfer. but if you have more apple products like an apple tv and airport i think how seamlessly they would all sync up would be cool.
 
bought a s4, it wbad before i left the store, wuouldnt work with pandora straight flipping out, returned it after class bought a 5s. thanks for the input folks!
