Can anybody can help me with this one (modern / quantum physics)

1. Observations of alpha-decay show that different isotopes of the same element

(same # of protons, different # of neutrons) emit alpha particles with differing

amounts of kinetic energy. The reason the alpha particles have different amounts

of energy is because of ………

 
you dont understand the questions. an alpha particle emitted by one isotope of the same atom can have different KE than an aplpha particle emitted by a different isotope of the same atom
