1. An observer in stationary frame O observes an event in a moving frame O' at 0.9c, where c is the speed of light.

a) An event lasts 1 s in O'. How long is it perceived to take in O?

b) An object is 1 m long in O'. How long is it perceived in O?

2. Two rockets are approaching each other at 0.9c according to an observer in a stationary frame. According to an observer in Rocket 1, how fast is Rocket 2 approaching?

3. The molar mass of He is 2g/mole. What is the rest energy of a He atom?

Any help is appreciated, physics is not my forte. Thank you :) :)

u need english HALP! but seriously why would u ask NS for homework help, who the hell does there hw thats on NS?

I'll give it a shot

a) .9(3.00x10^8)m/s*1s=2.7x10^8 meters

b) .9(3.00x10^8)/1=2.7x10^8 sec

c) Wouldn't it be twice as much? I'm not really sure lol

d) I think you use e=mc^2

Sorry, not much help and I might be totally off base
