why were on photoshop I keep saving things and then when I open them again later they have all converged into one layer and been locked. I don't get why this is happening and also how do you unlock a layer.

I'm looking to buy a pair of Big Stix 8.0 if anyone knows a site or a store in the NY area that has them please message me.

cut out the skin in a new layer and press ctrl+u

there are many ways of doing but yeah the easiest way is as ghost said to use the Hue & Saturation in combination with layer masks or making a whole new layer with what you want to change.

if you have any problems just post whats going wrong and well give you either an other technique or a wy to fix the problem

ok thanks ill just save as .psd from now on. But also how do you unlock a locked layer or is that not possible?

double click the locked layer in the layer pallette and click ok.

I am just a worthless liar, I am just an imbecil, I will only complicate you, trust in me and fall aswell...

you just click on the little lock. if its your background you cant unlock it you just duplicate it by dragginf it to the new layer icon then you just erase everything from the bottom layer anyway you want (eraser, paint bucket tool, etc...)

Also, another great way to change the color of something like skin would be to do it like this.

1.Create a new layer (Layer | New | Layer) or Shift+Ctrl+N

2. Go to the paintbrush and select what color you want the skin to be. Also select how big of a brush you want to use. No reason to use a really small brush if it's for a big area.

3. Select the layer mode to either color or overlay (the layer mode drop down box is right under the layer tab on the right side)

4. Now just paint over the body, it'll change to that color.

I love this way because no change you make is permanent. You can go back and use the eraser if you painted too much or out of the lines. If you decide you want it to be a different color after you're done with it, you can just go to hue and change the hue of that layer. Or if you decide you don't want to use any color you can just hide the layer.

alright thanks for all the help it worked
