How much did you tweak it?

See.. here's the thing. I like the shot. I like how your eye moves deep into the background, but I don't think I'm comprehending the colors. Alright that came out weird. I don't like how ridiculously bright the clouds are, when there are no other highlights anywhere else. I'd like to see what it would be like with the front brights jacked up a bit or tone down the background. Ehh I gotta sit on this a little bit. I think it has potential though.

Quite a bit i think.

I get what you're saying. I'm gona go back and have a play using your advice, might just not be a good enough original picture to make anything out of it though.

Thanks though!

I was thinking of doing that, not sure if anyone would have cared that much haha. But please, feel free to!

could't agree with you more allen, a vast majority or people that use hdr IMHO over do it, and you get the halos...but a gentle touch works great at showing and allowing the viewer of the photo to see that wider range of exposure that was initiall the point of shotting in raw or combining the differnt exps, to get a High Dynamic Range haha

Honestly, I like the 1st one better. Better placement, brought the lighting up a bit. The lighting doesn't have to directly on the crops, the sky works just fine. Looks like a storm just past through and this was the aftermath. The original looks good but that horizon line is to close to mid.

I'd suggest retaking the photo at 3 different exposures, on over exposed by a stop or two, one in the middle and one under exposed by the same as the over exposed, then combining the 3 shots so that you can achieve greener crops without an overexposed sky.

ye a proper HDR, i just didn't have a tripod with me so had to try and make one out of a single image by editing in photoshhop.

Ehhh I don't dig the lack of contrast (I'm being quite critical here since you want feedback...nothing pesonal lol ). Also, I'm not sure about the composition. I understand you want to focus on the horizon and your using the rule of thirds, but personally I would have 1/3 plants and focus on the clouds. This was you can do a longer exposure with a smaller aperture and capture the details of the clouds

higher apatures == much sicker photos when your doing artsey photos. depth of field is much bigger! Tripod is god. f32 with a slow shutter speed makes godly landscapes

Ye definatley a slow shutter spped and closed aperture makes unreal landscapes. Im going to try and incorporate it next time i go out and take photos. And aqctually have a tripod.
But thanks for everyones opinions and suggestions

woops, well its wanted so its not like its going to be crooked, but its possible i didnt' hold the camera perfectly perpendicular to the ground, mind you i should have been using a tripod
