All from today, first good camera I have ever owned, please CC, Help me get better!

Swim at your own risk photo is my favorite. Very well set up with good composition.

The school (?) photo near the top, looks as if it has negative space on the left. I know it doesn't, and they're interesting buildings, but if the shot was taken more to the right, i think it would look better.

Good, but dont make your boarders so huge. They look really wack when there huge.

Go 20pix for the boarder at the most.

3 and 11 are the best ones, haha i also like the "please clean up after your dog" that's cool. you're gonna have a blast with that cam, my friend has it and i love using it.

you'll love your nikon. the composition on the first 3 could be set up slightly off left or right from where they are. the focus on the pic with the hand reaching out to the duck could maybe be focused on the duck more than the hand? make the hand blurry. but nice composition and have fun with your nikon. i have the 18-70 nikkor and they are great lenses.

I think the first two are pretty bad, something with the framing just isnt right. Dont really feel like commenting on the rest.

I like the last one.....the lighting across the keys is cool.......The second one doesnt have enough context in my opinion.....maybe if the flag were unfurled...but its just kinda hanging there...kinda lacklustre.

Keep it up....take as many as you can...practice......remember you can always crop em later too

#'s 1, 2, 4, 5 are not very appealing.

i like the rest though.... im not a photographer so i feel stupid telling you.

I wish the water was a differnt color... or the ducks were white or somehting... those pics seem dull, but they are the best.

You have good angles on your photos, just try to make the color come out more. (use filters on your camera or just photoshop)

watch your angles on the first few. instead of making them interesting, they just sort of threw them off I think. I like the one of the hand and the duck and the other one of the duck. I also like the phone. Some of the other ones are kind of boring I think. Try to take into consideration the composition and really think about what you are taking a photo of before you take the picture, and if it doesnt come out right, you can usually switch it up in photoshop later. Im not saying im perfect, and I like criticism of my own work inface. It really helps, as long as its not just some asshole who doesnt explain anything. lt me know what you think of my stuff:

Nice just keep working at it and youll get better. Both my parents are professional photographers so i know a bit about composition so heres a little advice. If you look at some of the better pictures youve taken youll notice the subject isnt in the middle of the picture. For a rule of thumb you want to draw (mentally dont draw on your camera) a tic tac toe board on your cameras view finder and put the subject on the interscetions on the lines, this is called the rule of thirds. O also when your shooting skiin in your menu somewhere there will be a auto focus setting and you want to pick AF-C which will make it so you can follow the skier as theyre going onto/over the rail/jump. O and one more thing if you upgrade your lense (the only thing ive changed on my d50) id recomend only buying nikons and only fixed lower apeture settings.
