i spend a lot of time at Lake George NY in the summer and i take a good amount of pictures. this is one of my top 5 probably. there are some realllly sick pictures this week too.

This is from Harbour Island in the Bahamas, it's a really small underdeveloped Island, but very beautiful.
 
Glad to see the photo contest themes are still going on. This is similar to the contests I set up with Bishop two years ago. Prizes were given away by him to the winners of each week, you should set something like that up again with him. He started a photo contest page on here somewhere, though i didn't approve of the setup he wanted to use very much, so i gave it up.

Why did the contests stop last time? I always wondered.
 
It was a combination of me not really wanting to take a part in it, and Bishop just getting too busy. I was supposed to be in charge of setting them up and running them every week, but once the contests moved away from the "thread and outside voting" to the NS style contest, i hated the way users uploaded photos and voted on the forum.I like the 1 vote per person for the best photo, rather than rating the photos individually. I also wanted it to encourage people to actually go out and TAKE pictures for the themes, rather than just uploading a saved photo from years ago, or someone else's photo. So i just kind of gave it up, because it was nothing like the contest i wanted it to be.
 
i really wonder how many people on ns are literate, i mean it should be a basic requirement for an online forum
