yea, its pretty sweet, but just looks completely unrealistic, like a oil painting on canvas look

also whats up with this dock that has light flashed on it?

when you quote someone complimenting it and say it's not a photo that seems to nullify the compliment somewhat... just sayin that's how i took it.

I quoted him to show what photo I was talking about, and i never said that it wasnt a photo. I said that it didn't look like a photo. In your next post you even said that HDR doesn't look real. My bad if it came off as trying to degrade your photo, but I wasn't. Thats why I started my comment with "I mean no hate" (or something similar).

i think there is a boat coming up to it with lights on or something like that. I've done that with a couple pictures. used car lights or headlamps instead of a flash.

Such a pity about the lens flare. What lens did you use to take it? Otherwise it's a good photo of a great subject.

just a standard nikon 18-55.The subject is the Nott Memorial, at Union College (NY). Only 16 sided building in the country.

Sorry for the quality, i dont own a scanner so i had to take a pic of

this pic. i cant remember iso or anything of that matter it was a while

ago. Hocking Hills Ohio for those who are wondering. First time in this

contest see how it goes, criticism would be nice.

Find the image you want. Click more image sizes if you want a bigger one, then right click and copy the image location. Paste it into your post between
tags. Should look like this (without the ")

Me doing a backflip.
To take this photo I set the camera to self timer and ran to the trampoline, waited until the 'pips' went fast and bounced one more time, then did the back flip, then jumped off and went out of shot whilst the camera finished the shot! Camera & settings were:

Canon 400D
Canon 50mm 1.8
Velbon Tripod
Nissin flash gun

Aperture 3.2
30 second exposure
ISO 400

So i entered the first one, but havent entered since. This was taken in San Francisco back in 2007 i think. I would go out and take one for the comp but i feel this is my most interesting one and there's no other good enough subject matter accesible to me right now. plus its really cold out.

I resent it because very few of these shots were actually shot this week. Ive seen a good portion of these.. Plus I dont think ill have an entry again, Ive only shot 2 LE shots ever. I guess thats what happens when you have a shitty tripod ha..plus this week has sucked dick school wise.. can I just submit my fall photo for this contest and call it even?

Yeah I've seen this picture a bunch and honestly have a hard time believing it's yours

If it's not, that's not fucking cool. If it truly is, I apologize.

I think this justifies a perma ban from all other ns photo contests. Thats pretty low to enter someone else s photo and take credit for it.

How come the resolution is 96 DPI and is the same resolution as you would get off flickr? While your other photos were taken with a D60 and have all their photo information attatched?

figures someone with ninthward logo would do this..

That's really cool michelle! Reminds me of back to the future!! How did you take it? Zooming out whilst the shutter was open?
