PHISH - Summer Tour 2012

Cheese is still great. 'OG' fans are just upset that there's less bluegrass and more spacey electronic based jams nowadays. I literally just got back from E Forest, where I was standing next to an old head during one of the three nights of SCI, who kept freaking out about the 'electro' they were playing.

I was there too, for saturday sunday and thought sat nite was the best set i saw all weeknd. some of the electro shit was unnerving but they still brought it back and killed it. and sunday they played all bluegrass so that was great

Nobody was posting a bunch of sweet links to eoto videos or sbds.

Was pretty directly related to the couple posts about cheese and it was done anyway.

Probably going to end up doing starlight>dicks

Back to the subject at hand:

Now that first leg is all wrapped up, what were everyone's favorites?

I'd have to say my favorite was probably the Sand>Nellie Cane from Worcester2, that just did it for me. I really haven't had a chance to delve into the SPAC shows again yet though, so I may be back to ammend that comment.

And of course, what is everyone looking to hear in leg 2 and who's going to what shows? I'm broke and have no more vaca days, so no leg 2 for me unfortunately...but I'm sure it'll be a rad time.

I have 2 all-time tour highlights:

1. Star Lake : Light > Weekapaug Groove -> Seven Below

2. AC night 1 : Birds of a Feather -> Back on the Train and then Twist > Piper

ghost < boogie on < if i could

if i could is now my life anthem. there is a piano passage in the middle and its just devine from the chairman !

the best show i saw was worcester 2. roses, sickkkk gin...... sand nellie kane melted my heart, raging mikes and an insane 2001. but i only did worcester and AC

HAHaha.. Shows back in the day weore so sick. I hope you appreciate wHAT your about to hear. Phish in the 90's was out of control. Hope for some if the greats...

Does anyone want to go hit alabama>georgia>north carolina phish? Would leave tomorrow. I'm thinking of driving down from the northeast. Anyone want in?

I'm in northern ny right now. Could meet people along the way. I'm just trying to find some people to rage with/ not drive solo for ever.

way too excited for tomorrow. i don't know how i will sleep tonite. yesterdays setlist looked good and by the way people are talking about it, it sounded even better.

i don't understand the hate. i saw dave at hershey park in mid 2004 i think and it was one of the most fun shows i've ever been to. i'm sure part of it was the vip passes and the company, but the show was an absolute blast. and Boyd Tinsley can jam a fucking violin like no other. guy threw down a 10+ min jam session that was one of the coolest things i've ever heard/seen.

have yet to see a phish show, but it's on the bucket list.

anyone want to steer me in the direction of some good zips from phishows.com? I'm looking for good, nice quality shows from '80s to '00s

Actually if someone could just post some sbds or pm them to me it would be so appreciated. Finally transferred my itunes into my laptop so I can actually download music now. Preferably in .zip format.

I have a few hundred shows in various formats lying around from the good, old days. Best old show that sticks in my mind is 10/15/86 @ Hunt's. I know I have some prior to that, but this is a goldmine of a show in great quality. I got it from a crazy hippy my freshman year of college way long ago as it was his particular favorite show.

I may be able to help you in some way for some older stuff, lots of shows on CD's still that have never been uploaded, and many shows on the hard drive hiding in the archives. Hit me up if you are interested.

The lights at dicks were amazing. All ck5 treated us all to this stellar piece.

I disagree. There is some great shows from '88-'89 but everyone has a sound they prefer. Early 90's is fucking awesome, so cool seeing the evolution between '91 and '93, it's almost a totally different band. I love the raw sound of 91 shows though.

The majority or the goods came in the early 90's imo. Yeah there are some good shows from the end of the 80s. Wasn't trying to write the 80's off completely just don't think as a chunk there's as much consistently fire shit as later on. At one point just about everything was straight rage.

There's been some good old shows from the late 80s early 90s that have popped up on youtube over the last few years. Before the transition into the larger venues.
