yea i know the exact people you are talking about at a string cheese show there were a lot of people driving SUVs and stuff. Here it isnt as bad except for everyone in my town is like that. For every person like that there are a couple that are cool.

I am going to the madison square garden show...booya grandma. I am so excited to see phish together again. I saw trey this summer and I was totally blow away by his talent. Should be a great show.

there are a bunch of guys that graduated from my school and that are seniors this year that follow around people for a couple days so like 20 or 25 of them are all going out to the madison square garden show.

if you actually listened to both bands much you would realize it is twho completely different sounds. I could see some other bands trying to be like them but not phish. But back to talking about phish I would pay anythign to have been able to see any of the shows they played with grateful dead

yea, anger, phish is definetly different from the greatful dead. your just listenting to the critics. if you listen their 2 totally different sounds. listen to american buety and anthem of the sun, and then listen to a picture of nectur. you'll see.

and people, why do you have to say that everyone who likes phish is 100% hippi. its not really true.

a lot of their fans are into the hippi things but are'nt totally committed to being a hippi. they care about the enviroment and hope for peace but might not decide to make sure their live revolves making sure everything they do is about it. its stupid to have an SUV if you say you care about the enviroment, but nothing wrong with living in a city. you can do public transportation, and stuff like that.

no they are doing that for sure and planning on a summer tour they just dont say other stuff cause they cant have dates for shows and stuff this early. those are going to be good shows I am going to try and see at least 2 of them

My point is this. Every Dead Head I know listens to Phish and acts like they're the new Grateful Dead. A lot of them follow their concert tour like they did with the Dead. And they're all a bunch of possers who think they're part of a different/better lifestyle just cuz they smoke weed and shit. The majority of them live in the city, use mass water, use mass paper, drink Starbucks 4 times a day, and do a lot of other things that don't match up to their enviro-preaching. Many of them drive brand new expensive cars that guzzle gas and a lot of them drive old beaters like VW buses that also get bad mileage and don't do much to help the pollution situation. Think about how many old VW's you see puking out blue smoke. Yeah.

 
actully a to me a hippi car these days is anything that gets the most miles per gallon. and i see a lot of volvos at hippis shows now.

anger- some dead heads to like phish, but musically i think the bands are 2 totally different kinds of music. again listen to athem of the sun and american buety then listen to lawn boy and picture of nectar, not the same at all. I can see why people associate them with the dead outside of their music though.

living in the city is'nt bad if your a hippi because you could take a subway to your job, and then theirs lots of natural food stores in every naborhood. at least in boston their is. and you can walk or take a subway to a lot of places instead of driving.

i got some!! lol... but they turned into a birthday present for my cousin... good for him. as for how quickly they sold out, a lot of people got them in preordered groups, and others just... preordered, so they were probably really close to being sold out before they even went on sale.
