so after the weekend the Phighten Phils have 1st place. they cant be stopped, they scored like 70 runs opver the past week, Chase utley is the third strait Phillie MVp canidate 20 homers 51 rbi's and batting .311 and it is june 1st. now its time to make the push and get some distance on the rest of the division.

Im originally from philly so i will always love the phils even after i moved to boston thats real soul right there. Chase utley is a beast best 2nd basemen in the league

I don't know how I missed this thread the first time around, but I'm glad I caught it now. I live in Taos, NM and dropped over $300 for MLB extra innings and NFL sunday ticket. The prospect of not watching the Phils and Birds was devastating. I'm dreading the last couple of weeks though...marlins and mets on the road? ouch. Keep the faith.
 
last night was a heartbreaker though we got hammels going tonite hopefully we can score some runs for him
 
its gonna be a really tight race between them and the brew crew. they still have like 6 games against eachother, its gonna be really exciting.

the phillies are the SHIT. i mean when a team like the mets wow spends a SHITloud of money on great players and talent and still cant beat a team and become in first place is very sad. Final conclusion mets suck and phillies rule.
 
no shit, thats why the red sox aint going to win the world series. now im a huge phillies fan but i have to think the odds on favorite to win it all right now is the Angels. thier picthing and hitting well, and look pretty much unstoppable
 
This series has been disastrous...truly painful to watch. Tied with the Mets? We need to bounce back in a hurry.
 
a 3 run lead wasnt enough then a 6 run lead wasnt enough. we just cant manufacture runs the only way we score is homers i get so pissed every time we get runners in scoring position, then cant get them in its horendous
 
We have the best base stealing % in baseball...explain to me why we don't steal in clutch situations to put runners in scoring position? How about a bunt to move runners up? If Burrell was striking out like he has in years past...we'd be in huge trouble. Thank god for contract years...

yeah i dont know the name of the song we just call it the getto hokey pokey "bouce two times clap clap clap clap" any way yeah the mutts are now a game and a half up on the fightins but myers pitched a beauty last nite( iknow it was against the nats dont get to excited) now only if our ofense could get some runs we be off to the races.

but al you mets fans need to remember that last year 7 games up with 17 to go just wasnt enough
 
well we came back from a 7 0 deficit to win the first game against the mets, a crushing blow to thier self esteem. then we lead 32 when johan comes out that has top be a sure win. fuck the mets came back and win. i hate the fucking mutts so low class and so cocky. were now a half game back and have to go to wrigley are you kidding me. well hopefully we can take a few against the cubbies.
 
HA! i dont know whos young, and i dont know who the fightins are, but i DO know the cubs are doing pretty darn good
 
well lets see we play a game called baseball, and the American leageu plays a game called designated hitter.
 
it gets more coverage for a reason. the teams are better.

and as far as the designated hitter argument...its not like the dh on every team is hitting .350. you cant possibly find it reasonable to put it all down to one player.

look at world series results over the past 20 years. al: 13, nl: 6. and lets be honest, itll be another al team this year.

go phillies...not like it matters.
 
I got your back here 100%. Phillies haven't won it since I was a baby. I'm tired of constant let downs by philly teams. Although I should say I'm not much for professional sports period.

ah.................. why dude............ cub fans have been through so much bs aver the years i mean i felt like driving myelf of a cliff saturday night ( the only good thing that did happen was kimbo slice getting the shiz beat out of him)

anyways the cubs need to definatly get rid of lee i mean i like him hes just sucking it up... and they either need to make derosa a fulltime outfielder or drope him as well........ and some people think that that soriano needs to go also but we need some of his power so....... all well there is always next year......

a part of me is glad they are out of it only because now im not nearly as stressed out every night... i can just be relaxed and not give a shit..... rant continues...... i cried sunday when my "go cubs go" ringtone went off......... its now changed to "no cubs no"
