all these people have one thing in common, not being publicized anymore. in my oppinion shannon chad and phil doin, and evan all had pretty sick segements in happydayz or sterotype. did pbp not want them in the movies, or did they just quit? what happned?

i really liked raps and dion as skiers...and schad is def a ripper but in his seg for some reason this one little thing bugged me...he would throw a cork spin and then at like 450 come out of the cork and twist his body around to make it...it bugged me..but he's cool

as for evan, even when he was good, his shit sucked recently, his happy dayz segment, was terrible, those hand rails were fucking tiny, not bad but he shoulda been doin better, schannon just got borring, i hate the way he bends over and winds up before he spins his 7s

shannon's seg's were ahead of there time ie throwing newschool tricks of clifs, even got ijured n shannon now ski instructs sumwhere, n dion just real involved in d- structure n shit

dion had a full seg in exact science, and it was pretty good too, much better than i expected, he can do some sick cork 5s.

i cant stand to watch any more of raps segements because he hasnt progressed. at first he was throwing crazy shit, up there with every one else. but it seemed to me like he just stopped trying to progress and thought that he could stay high and suppiror.

Do i have to serve these canned peaces chilled?

i agree, i was actually pretty impressed with Dion's segement in exact science. Shannon Schad used to be one of my faviorate skiers and i'm dissapointed to not be seeing him in anymore ski movies. Raps, his segements in Ski Movie and The Game were probably one of my faviorate segements to date, but truth is, he hasnt progressed quite as much or as quickly as alot of the other guys(at least from what i've seen). he's still a sick skier though

 
Sometimes when I watch old ski moies and see all the skiers who were so awesome and who just aren't into it anymore I go curl up in the corner and cry...

But seriously, skiing isn't exactly the easiest or most forgiving sport in the world. Do you seriously expect people to be amazing, progressive skiers forever and ever? As much as I respect and admire all of the big skiers of days past, I gotta say that they had their time and that no one should blame them for quiting or whatever.

Well i heard raps fucked his knee up extremely badly, and never really healed.

Schad is the man; He STARTED backcountry booters phenomenon/craziness. He is almost still one of the smoothest riders out there, and he is an original-along with JP, JF, evan, evan, seth, seth, seth, Mike, Mike, uhh, Mike, phil, phil, phil and phil. Holy shit, it doesnt seem to be any originality with names that far back. Did anybody else notice this?

did i say that FRZgene? No. what i meant was that in his segment he showed progression and started bringing newschool into skiing mainstream. People really started taking notice because SM1 was so big.

 
Actually you said Evan Raps, in ski movie 1 was sick, and you put the equals sign and then wrote beginning of newschool skiing.

He was sick in ski movie 1, but in no way was it (raps, or ski movie 1) the beginning of newschool skiing.
