Peyton Manning released.

ok then, how about good excuse to drink beer before noon on Sundays/miss church/avoid chores?

....but, shoudn't have replied to your post, because this is an argument that has been debated for decades...I guess you either find a lot of joy in spectator sports or you don't.

just caught part of the press conference. peyton did not want to leave. super bummed sounding. either that or he was bummed he missed out on 28M by one day

supposedly we contacted his agent last night with an actual offer and seem to be willing to enter the impending bidding war, we are the first and only team to have offered him a full contract so far

god next season will be a let down if this doesn't happen

I want to keep him in the AFC, have some good battles between him and Brady, and he stays out of my packers way hahaha.

He's not going to KC. Doesn't sound like a place he'll wanna play. Denver on the other hand is the front runner I believe. We have Elway, Todd Helton (back qb to him in college, and a team that would be appealing to Peyton.

the only thing going against us is our weather, denver's is worse. we have a better team, a higher draft pick, and enough salary cap room for manning, wayne, and saturday.

I will kill myself if Peyton Manning goes to the Broncos or the cowboys. Since i live in New Mexico everyone is a stupid cowboys fan or broncos fan. It would just suck seeing that happen.

yeah its not like the dolphins have any good receivers... Brandon marshall woth a good qb would be insane. and a great O-line

pretty sure he is not going to a team with a makeshift offensive line and a roster that is more than one good QB away from being a AFC/NFC championship team.

the only team that REALLY fits that description is miami to me. they have good offensive pieces in place and with a good draft certainly an above-average O-line. and the D is underrated.

but if you think about it, not too many teams have absolutely NO INTEREST in a healthy manning.

maybe he himself has no clue if he will be back to his old form and almost certainly the teams dont know as well so it will be interesting how this plays out. like a "pro-day" or personal workouts or a signing without that stuff from a true believer team.

but as of right now, i would go with the dolphins. two teams that are not really in the mix but imo should be the biggest pursuers are the 49ers and the ravens because they would be the hottest teams of the new season with a healthy peyton manning at the helm.

Better team? Haha thats why you guys won the AFC west right? And thats why you guys picked up our old shitty QB. If we trade Tebow then we could have better draft picks, and we have a bigger salary cap than you guys. Also Colorado has the most sunshine out of any other state in the union. Everything you just said is flat out wrong.

i am not sure that trading tebow will yield noteworthy draft picks. maybe if a team thinks he fits into their system perfectly, but i have a hard time seeing some team giving up more than a 3rd rounder for him.

Tebow fans that don't want manning are psychotic. It could be the perfect thing for Tebow if the Broncos keep him and Manning. The number one thing Tebow needs to focus on is becoming more present in the pocket. Manning is possibly the best pocket passer EVER. So Tebow practicing under Manning could be a win win situation. I got a really good feeling that he'll come to Denver, sounds like a perfect fit for him.

by half a game? the shitty old quarterback that beat you guys in your stadium? in a season where we lost our single best player on each side of the ball as well as our original qb (we were still 4th in the leauge in receiving btw)? in a season where we fired our coach? in a season where you guys have had the most positive hype probably ever?

we don't have more cap room than Denver? sunshine? wrong? no?

Hype was created by Tebow. Elway is trying to get out of this qb nightmare so he will give Peyton everything he asks for plus some. The weather in Denver is always exaggerated. Nine out of ten times a sunday in the fall here will be 45+. Denver city officials are also contemplating giving Manning incentives if he comes to Denver (this is serious). That means even more money for Peyton. Also our receiving core is great. They didn't produce numbers because of Tebow. But with DT, Decker, a possibility for Royal, and talented TE's. Our O-line is also really good.

could you two bottom-dwelling-team fans keep it to a minimum?

the chargers will take the AFC west regardless of whatever QB is going to or not going to the chiefs and broncos. and i dont think that the broncos are even under his top 3 teams to go.

just kidding with the chargers thing though. letting VJax walk was the last straw for me.

hes probably not coming here but he's definitely not going to the Broncos... lol at a chargers fan trying to act holier than thou, new era buffalo bills only theyre not even half as accomplished

the same article has a link right in the middle of it to the article about us already submitting our proposal... nobody knows where he's going, but nobody outside of Denver even gives them a shot

but they at least have fun games to watch. lighting it up on offense (unlinke the chiefs, broncos) for most of the past years while having likeable players who shut the fuck up (unlike the jets).

its just a game. i do not hate other teams. i just like my team a little bit more.

The Colts just released Addai, Bullitt, Painter (THANK GOD) Dallas Clark, and Bracket. I can understand releasing painter, addai and bullit because he gets injured so much, but DALLAS CLARK AND BRACKETT??? are you fucking stupid or what.

i dont think he will be a bust but there have been many qbs that have showed as much light as him and did nothin in the NFL. I do doubt that will be the case with him though.

i wanted RGIII to go to the browns because i like his style and then he would at least create one likeable team in that division.

@ChaskaBlake: Looking for my favorite NFL JOURNALIST to theorize why #18 won't even talk to KC

@SI_PeterKing: I don't know. Good question, though. I'd take KC's 53-man roster over Denver's. That's why it's odd. But give credit to Elway and Denver resident/good PM buddy Brandon Stokley

so the rumor now is that Peyton knows the Patriots and Scott Pioli (current Cheifs GM) cheated when playing against them at the height of the NE vs IND rivalry and Peyton is basically saying fuck you to him which is kind of alright with me because I hate the Patriots a lot for all the cheating they did too. However if he signs with Denver I hope we're the team that ends his career.
