Recently, Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (R.C.R) issued a policy stating the discontinuation of the construction and maintenance of jumps in all RCR terrain parks across Canada. This document is a petition against the removal of man-made features including tabletops in RCR terrain parks, and for the instatement of new policies regarding the safety and liability of riders while occupying the park.

Thank you,

Dear Mr. Mosteller:

I read with interest your decision to remove all man made jumps from RCR terrain parks. I believe that this is an unwise decision, as some of the best jumps in western Canada are located in RCR terrain parks. What worries me most about this decision is the blatant ageism being displayed by RCR. Terrain parks cater almost exclusively to people under the age of 25. By removing the terrain parks from your hills, you have implied that the youth are not as important to your company as older customers. While people from the under 25 segment may not currently bring in major profits for your company, they will all grow up with a negative view of the company that shut them out. I have skied your mountains every year for the last 16 seasons. If you decide to build your terrain parks without jumps, I will take my business to hills willing to accommodate all users on the mountain. I hope to hear back from you regarding this issue
