Petition - Line Skis bring back Anthem and Chronic in 2011

As many of you have heard the chronic and anthem model park skis of Line Skis, will no longer be made in the winter season of 2010/2011. This disappoints me.

1.) Dylan Hatch, Mt. Bachelor OR

2.)

They will continue to make the After Bang but top sheet still looks like a monster's doubled regurgitated puke. I personally like the Invaders more.

line must have a good reason. i bet they will have some sick skis instock for next year... hopefully

ummm why dont you wait until line OFFICIALLY states whether they will have either of those skis, or maybe when they release what their line of skis are. Just because there are some rumours going around does not mean anything has been changed. They could have scrapped the name and kept the same build and design.
this petition sucks.

seriously fuck the afterbang ive seen a broken in half afterbang and never seen a broken in half invader anthem or chronic. i am not buying into this skate deck crap until every ski they make features it. the chronic and anthem and even invader were so perfect for their designed purposes. ive even found my anthems to be a killer all mountain ski.
bring em back NOW

jesus christ, number one line isn't going to change there line up for next years skis now, 2) even if you got 5,000 members or however many are on this site, you'd be saying that like less 1% of their business would be affected. You'd have to go to the stores that sell line and get their signatures if anything was to possibly happen.
and don't you think with lines progession and the skiiers they have skiing for them they would do something better if they were replacing a model. relax skiings about progression pick the panties out of your vagina and see what they have comin out hahah

Pretty sure they are not getting rid of the Chronic, as they said this will be the last year with the raven graphic, not the last year of the chronic.

Line will always make killer skis and whatever they bring to the table I'm sure will be extremely good and responsive to whatever anyone may need

top sheets don't mean shiiit.

I hate the topsheet but bought the ski anyways because it's so much fun! pretty colors wouldn't do that for me.

I for one love my Afterbangs. The conditions under which the other ones broke would have shattered any ski. One pair got stuck under a rail and fucked up, and one of Compton's pairs got stuck in the snow when he landed switch.
Also, you don't even know what they are replacing the Anthems and Chronics with yet, idiot.

ive seen next years catalog and talked with the local rep here in michigan, There will be NO ANTHEM, kinda sad as i loved mine but there lineup next year is absolutely killer. cant wait till they start production on them

I thought they were just getting rid of the crows, not the chronic entirely??? I like the crows though, the ski won't be the same without them.

I'm almost positive the Anthem is gonna be out after this season. Chronic I haven't heard about much though. Keep in mind there should be a similiar ski replacing the Anthem (or the Chronic also). Think about when K2 dropped the Public Enemy because sales were down, switched up the graphic a ton and re-named it the Extreme. I have a feeling this is what Line is doing. That being said, Line is going to make sick skis regardless.

where does it say they will go that wide with it? personally, i thought 93 waist was perfect for a wider park ski, 100 is just nuts

an industry insider told me on the lift today

rockered bacons too

prolly not supposed to tell

so shhhhhh

Yeah, sales? Line has the best advertising of any ski brand. they are so persuasive. Personally I hate the Anthem probably more than any other ski ever, and the Chronic sucked when mounted anywhere forward of -5(because of the flex). They stopped making Invaders/Anthems because of the ABang. They will stop making Chronics because there are a billion 07/08 and 08/09s out there that decently smart people will buy for less than the 2011 would have been, and because the Chronic doesn't sell that well compared to a normal sidecut park ski made to be mounted up(Extremes, PCs), and because there is the Chronic Kryptonite now, which will be better all mountain than the Chronic, which is what it was marketed for. So even though I don't like any Line ski so far(still have hope for 195 Motherships), yes it does make sense that they will stop making those. Go get Pipe Cleaners if you want a good jump ski with a Chronicish sidecut.

andy parry confirmed that there will be no more anthem in a previous thread
havnt heard anything about the chronics; although i doubt theyll get rid of them, what will line riders use for jumping skis?

Supposedly, according to TGR friends, I am to love the current type of 195 Mothership more than Solly XW Labs(which I don't own but liked), so much that I won't be able to resist buying a pair when I have money for a dierctional heavy charger. That is what I have been told and I did like how the flex felt..I'll write a review in January when my Oregon friend comes north with a pair to try! And I did like the Chronic when mounted at -6, but when it was mounted -2(what I generally like for park skis) it messed with the smooth carving.

seems like he knows what he is talking about so i wouldnt be so quick to jump to conclusions.

lol thats cause anytime you mount a ski at anything different than its suggested mounting line you change the performance of the ski. Sooo yes your gonna like it more or less according to where you put it. Chronics aren't suppose to be a full park ski and there for are going to suck at carving if you mount it farther forward just because you want more tail. mount a ski where it's suppose to be mounted and ski it how its suppose to be skied and you will ski the ski that the company manufactured.

This petition will do nothing. The new skis are already in production and they aren't going to magically redesign and make a new Anthem and Chronic just like that. It sucks but its true. I want the vader to come back. :(

the chronic is STILL alive everybody, check page 8 on the 2011 gear thread. also, the anthem is being replaced with a similar ski.

similar ski... afterbangs are 115-88-115. this similar ski you speak of (blanking on the name right now) has THE SAME dimensions! 115-88-115, just more carbon fibre for a different flex or somethin.

Yes, recommending one Armada ski= I'm on Armada's dick. I like Armada, but other than Pipe Cleaners, ARGs if they were longer and maby Thalls I wouldn't really want any other Armada ski. Pipe Cleaners are the best park ski I've ski by far.

If anything I would be on Moment's dick for having a great ski in every category that matters to me. Meaning park(haven't been on Reno's though, but rockered symmetrical skis make much more sense to me than normal camber), powder-jibbish and a powderish charger. Duh.
