hey i know everyone thinks this has been beaten to death but I think that if we got enough names then we could show them that newschool is a force to be reckoned with, and as big an influence as snowboarding is percieved to be. So anyway, I know a guy who is fairly senior management at EA UK, (dad's friend) and when I spoke to him about it he said it was on the cards, but they didnt have enough evidence of consumer interest- well here's your chance to have your say. I will send this to him when its done...

I really don't think a petition would help. You see, in order for them to make a skiing game, we would need to prove that there is a market for the game. There's like 32,000 kids on this site, and I don't think thats a large enought market for a big company like EA to make a game. (thats also to say if everyone signed it). They would have to do market research and see if the average person would buy a newschool skiing game. Snowboarding is more 'socially acceptable' than skiing. If you go and ask people on the street whats cooler, skiing or snowboarding, 9 out of 10 would say snowboarding.

Especially after the JMMT flop, I think many companies are weary of making a skiing game. Now don't get me wrong, I would definitely want a good skiing game and would sign your petition, but it would be very hard for us to persuade a company to make a game.

yeh thats true but ya'know, if jus half of the skieers on this site signed then thats 15,000 people, and newschoolers is hardly the entire freeskiing movement... myguy at EA says that they would mos DEF listen to that many people

To whoever above who said that 30,000 people wasn't a big enough market: yeah, it is. But if you could get a 10,000 person petition, that says more than 'There are 10,000 peple who would buy this game', it says 'There are 10,000 people who want this game badly enough to take the time to sign a petition for it'. Trust me, it would make a difference... but I don't know if we can get 10,000 people to sign one.

I think this could work, but you need a more organized petition than a thread on NS. you can't send someone this thread and say there's intrest. You need an actual numbered list somewhere with names and locations, comments from everyone isnt neccessary.
