p-tex is what you use to repair the bases on your skis, so i ski shop would sell it so people could repair bases on their skis

ive never used it for alpine skis, but ive used it for some nordic skis. i assume if you got a lot of it you could use it for a box, but i think there are probably easier alternatives. p-tex (as ive used is) is this stick that you burn and it melts. as it melts, you drip it onto the thing which you want to p-tex. i guess if you got a lot you could cover a box with it but good luck

you couldnt use ptex. ptex is ment to be melted on to the existing ptex on ur ski, a sheet of plastic can be used for a top of a box, or lexan thats expensive but cant break and slides nice

yea i have been looking at tons of options for box material. we want to make an x-box with a lip on the end of each exit so im llooking for the cheapiest possible stuff
