Peter Adam Crook // 11.12 Season Edit

Hey guys just finished up putting my season edit together from this year. Unfortunately I didn't get to ski much, let alone film much, because of some minor lingering injuries throughout the season. Thought I'd try and piece something together anyways. Besides the lack of jumping, and some shaky follows, let me know what you think! Enjoy!http://vimeo.com/41238630

I really liked this edit and made me feel emotions...you know an edit is good when it makes you think about how much you miss skiing:)

really enjoyable, a lot of varied shots. Only negative I would say(apart from the shaky followcam but you noticed that) is that its a bit too bright in places. What setup were you using?

Yeah shaky shots were a given. And yeah i noticed that too while i was editing but it was more the shots, couldn't do much with it in post. Also tried to go for a little touch of retro film which could be it also. Really was just trying to do something different with this edit. There were a couple of different setups.. None of the footage came from my camera. Beginning Vail stuff is all 5D 70-200 2.8 is II , 7D 10-20mm, and 1D 24-105mm. And i take my comment back, because the Copper shots are on my 7D with tokina 11-16. All pipe shots were just on my coaches camera... not sure what it is, films on tape :P. The Vail stuff at the end is 60D with tokina 11-16. And last but not least, Breck jumps are on GoPro 2, unfortunately didn't realize we weren't shooting 720 at 60 until it was too late.. So they are very standard definition :(. Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the feedback.

you are good at pipe. I thought the edit would have benefited from more close up shots. Seems like the filmer was distant in most of the clips. Get healthy and make a great season edit tho, it looks like you are ready to explode!

I'm gonna assume toy is you*? haha. But it's all edited in FCP7 and then color graded in Magic Bullet Looks. Thanks!
