That's a good idea...wait until your brain is mush, then say...uh, maybe I should get a helmet. That's like saying "I'll wait until I get an STD to use a condom", "I'll buckle my seatbelt once I've got one good wreck under my belt", do you see where this is going. My point is if you are doing something that makes you think you might be going Fast/big enough to seriously injure the part of your body that makes the rest work, you might want to contemplate a helmet...while you can still contemplate stuff. I don't always wear a helmet, and never wear a mouthguard, but this next season I am wearing a helmet most if not all the time, and keeping the moughguard in my pocket incase I am feeling crazy. $2,000 spent on saving a single tooth(no dental insurance) only to find 6 months later is has to be pulled makes you think about something to protect your teeth.
Phrosty, obviously you have you mind made up, and good for you. You know how to think for yourself. Enjoy it, this season could be your last chance to do that. Arrogance leads to injury most of the time. Good luck, unless you take your own advice and wrap yourself in bubble wrap, and sit in your room.
