I saw video on time of this insane looking farmer yelling right in the face of this little 4ft tall skinny man. This farmer had to be 7 ft tall and weigh 400 lbs. He yelled 'IF I CAN'T EAT MY CHICKENS, HOW ABOUT I EAT YOU?'. Needless to say the man leaves.

i dont think animals are more important than humans, i think humans are animals, i dont really know much about this peta thing, but im a vegetarian, not becuse i think its wrong to eat meat, but because the way we manufacture meat doesnt work for me, we enslave animals and breed them for our food, like theyr'eours to do with as we please.

I think a lot of people's ideals will change in the next 5-10 years. Do what keeps you happy. It is easy to become vegetarian nowadays. I wouldn't close my mind off to the option so quickly.

everyone who is incredibly against peta should read the book ishmeal, with an open mind. it might change your views. isnt it kind of arrogant of us to think we are better then them? they were put here to serve us right? once again read ishmeal and it will change your views (cant remeber authors name) one point he brings up in the book is that when jellyfish were the latest advancement in evolution, they probably thought they were the best. after all.. nothing was bigger or better then them. they were the latest thing. now humans come along and claim the world was made for them and everything else is infereior. eventually the tables will turn for humans

Hot that I agree with everything they say, but I saw a show on factory farming, and it has sorta changed my views about vegetarians, I can sort of see their point

going against what samck89 said...in my opinion i think god put certain animals on the earth like cows, deer and other work/food type animals to help benefit the humans, its not like the human race is out to destroy every living animal other than humans for are own well being..my 2 cents

u really think we wouldnt destroy any animal for our benefit, thats why i dont eat meat, because we take an animal, breed it for our uses, kill any animal that trys to eat them, it gets to the point where we dont just kill the wolf thats goin after our flock, we decide to wage war on wolves, until there arent any left. our idea is if something threatens us wipe em all out, what other animal do u see do that, when a lion preys on a heard of gazelle the gazelle doent get together and decide to wage war on the lions

i hate these militants rights groups who take some half assed idea to begin with and then tell everyone to fit their views.

I think maddox had a good idea with the sponser a vegitarian program, just eat three times the meat to offset vegitarians.

Besides animals dont feel like we do, we judge them on how cute they are, a beetle has as much of a right to live as a koala

Ok the sponsor a vegetarian thing is fucking hilarious and I want that shirt. I hate people who are extremist in ANYthing, whether it be environmentalist, or for animal rights, or whatever. But these organizations do have a useful purpose: they keep standards in check. I mean we know for a fact that if a big company could lower expenses, even if it meant a little cruelty, they'd do it if not for PETA and the like, and that's probably a good thing.

By the way, veal is much worse than goose liver pate as far as cruelty goes. I eat both though, because they taste good, and I'm not a revolutionary. Ive considered vegetarianism for health reasons, but since I don't eat carbs either, I'd literally die.

Last thing, don't flagrantly eat meat in front of vegetarians. It isn't nice. Have a salad or something. Most vegetarians aren't going to call you a murderer for having a steak, so don't be an asshole.

Whether or not vegetarianism is a good thing is a seperate argument, the fact is that these PETA people are fucking idiots. I read a recent news article where the spokesperson for PETA announced that they were going to start a campaign where they were going to go to local elementary schools in like NY, D.C., and other places and give a KFC bucket full of 'blood' to little kids. I dont know about you guys, but if my kid got one of those, I would be so pissed. They dont have any idea of what is right or wrong, they just will do whatever it takes to 'protect the animals' even if it endagers humans. Another case in point. Recently, a gorilla escaped from a zoo and had mauled 4 people. Police officers shot it down, while it had a baby in its mouth. PETA quickly came to the case and said that the officers should be charged because they didnt need to kill the gorilla. IT HAD A BABY IN ITS FUCKING MOUTH!!! I mean come on. Are you really going to say that they made a bad decision on that?!?! I think they are all complete morons who have no clue about real life. Again, this has nothing to do with the views of vegetarians, only PETA freaks.

It's the whole philosophy that animals feel pain, like us, so why shoud it be ok for us and not them?

It is a necessary question to ask, especially a moralle ethical society

I agree. It would be the exact wrong thing to do to rub it into someone elses face that disagreed with it. That would be the same as someone preaching vegetarianism to people who liked meat. Peta is a whole different game though. They are off the charts.

yea, animals eat other animals, so ill eat meat too. but it is kinda cruel how their whole life is spent in a cage filled with it's kind. at let them have sum sort of meaning in their life besides being eaten

for me, its not the idea that its wrong to eat meat, its the way we go about it, we decide that these animals are beneath us and we can do whatever we want to them in order to better our chances of survival, its like the idea that when a wolf goes after your heard you dont just kill the wolf, you go to war on all wolves, get the idea, no other animals do that
