Personal stylistic habits you dislike

What are some of the things you do while skiing that drive you crazy and you wish to overcome?

for example, when skiing into a jump, i always look like a lego man - my arms are too straight and sticking out slightly like i'm about to get run over but too scared to move

also, when i land switch, even though i always tell myself to look up at the knuckle, i instead look down at the tips of my skis, which causes me to suitcase with locked knees instead of standing tall and letting my knees flex like a G

I’m a serial pants adjuster. Happens before almost every trick but luckily usually early enough that I can edit it out.

I think my legs are little bit too close to each other when carving, deeper turns look better with space in between your legs.

I need to shift and raise my legs little bit more when doing a shifty.

Forgetting to use my poles when it’s needed. especially on moguls. I’ll forget, start fucking up and then I start planting at the wrong times and just everything goes to shit.

i like flex my hands and stick them out when i’m getting onto a rail. probably could be fixed if i used poles but fuck that

My confidence. When I was younger, I had all the confidence to do and try anything on skis. Now Im just a sissy.

My stance is too wide and I land in a pretty wide stance. Tried really focusing on it this winter but it's hard when you've skied like that all your life. Also nowadays seems like everyone skis with their skis glued together, which was not the case when i was younger

When I ride switch (left shoulder) I stick my right arm out like a boner. Looks horrendous but part of me doesn’t care at the same time.

Fr lmao same issue here, that and I backseat ride a lot. Fixed that issue a few months ago but its not engraved in my dome yet

Probably peeing and then it just spasms and goes everywhere but for skiing mine would be coming off a little backseat on every jump.

I used to have wild arm movements everywhere, I have fixed it mostly when I'm on the ground, but in the air, whatever arm doesn't successfully grab becomes a turbine

They also have to be farther apart when carving.

I drag my poles too much.

lots of good ones making me think of other stuff

for example- when I land forward from spinning off a rail (front 4 let’s say) I almost always land in a little wedge instead of skis straight. I hate that. Same happens if I do a tiny 3 off of a trailside jump

I can’t keep my arms down doing swaps and it drives me crazy and holds me back too

looks cool though when you pull it off, effortless T wall style to do swaps with your arms down

sometimes I'll clap my skis together mid air. not really "stylistic" more of a mistake but definitely takes away the steeze.

My toxic ski trait is that I don’t fw any of my clips until like 2 weeks later. I think my style is so wack whenever I get a clip and then it takes like a week or 2 to marinate and then im like ok actually im kinda down for this. I’ll over-analyze every little thing and it ruins me lol.

imagine skiing without poles and looking like a grown up toddler

Don’t do this anymore but I used to stick my pole straight up in the air right before hopping onto a rail.

awkwardly skiing between features anticipating the new trick, I feel like its hard to look decent unless you have intent with your line. also knee bends on landings four shore

going too slow, i always think im flying through a rail or trick and then i look super slow in the clip. might be a filming issue but who knows

I'm really bad for not bending my knees enough.

whenever I make an effort to bend my knees it feels like I'm overdoing it but then I see a video and it's just the same amount that normal people bend their knees. Surprised my whole body hasn't given out from landing with stiff legs all the time.

my arms just have a mind of their own when doing anything. i hate it and have to forcefully keep them down if I want to remotely look good.

Poles help me w this issue. I look so terrible with no poles
