for every one in massachusetts, can you get your driving permit with out taking any drivers ed classes?
 
dont you have to have the minumum hours of class.

im pretty sure in mass u need to take the certain number of driving/ class hours to get ur license
 
I live in Mass and you dont need to take drivers ed before getting your permit. You do need to take it to get your license at 16 and a half or whenever you get it.
 
yeah you can get it, i live in mass and have my license, you need to take em before licens, most people take em after permit

in MA u can get ur permit before u take drivers ed, but to get ur liscense u need 30 hrs of drivers ed except if ur over 18 years old
 
in vt i got my permit when i was 15. and my licens when i was 16 and now im 16 and a half with a car and a licens
 
you can get your permit ONCE you turn 16, you just have to take a written test (well, computerized test technically) then you have to take driver's ed to get your liscence (you have to be 16 and a half to get the liscence). or you can wait till you're 18 if you dont wanna take driver's ed.

so yeah, you can get your permit once you turn 16.

yea, its once you turn 16. to get your license you have to take driver's ed (SUCKS)

and have fun...did you hear about the new bill they passed?

instead of 12 hrs of driving with your parents-you have to do 40, and keep a log of it.
 
except... we live in massachusetts, so we'll probably get snow twice this year. I wish I had a smaller car instead of my jeep. Plus, we'll be most likely be paying around 5$ a gallon next winter.
 
then you're at the begining of a long, shitty adventure. You might get screwed by the new bill, if the bring it into effect by jan. 1
 
here in canada, you get your G1 at 16 years old with a written test and you can take driving school and get your G2 ( allowed to drive by yourself ) after 8 months or you can wait a year and not take the driving school but you'll have higher insurance rates. Then anytime after a year of getting your G2 you get your ful license which is called a G and you take a road test for it.

Yeah i know, Canada is messed.
 
uhh, you need to take drivers ed to get your license before 18 in MA. Unless you're talking about defensive driving school, which is optional, and lowers your insurance further.
 
a deer ran into my dads car last night. its a little ass car

(chevy aveo) but it was also a baby deer. if we ran into a full sized deer, wed prob bounce of it and hit a tree
 
what? you have to take a class to get your licence. where i live you just show up and take a 15-20min road test
