Why is Don Vito such a bitch about grapes? Ya, Don Vito's a whore about grapes.

I get nothing at my shop. Well I get free tune ups whenever I want, granted I fill out the work order myself. Saves me $40 US right there every time. Also got a free rossi T. Thats about it though, my shops lame

I'm getting a job at a shop, but its a franchise so I doubt if they'll dish out free shit.. Princeton Ski Shops if you wanted to know

just started workin at a shop. its dope.

1. FREE WEEKDAY LIFT TICKETS and discounted weekend tickets

2. free shit: rossi shirt, dalbello hat, elan hat, gloves

3. i tune my skis for free whenever i want

4. the manager is a chill park skier. not on NS for some reason. hes 26 or 27 and shreds though

don't work at a shop just for the perks..there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes that isn't all rainbows which some people forget.

the funnier thing is not that someone bumped a thread from 04, but the fact that someone was legitimately excited to get reactors

i dont get that much other than pro deals and free tune and shop work..oh and i got like a shirt from every company we carry from like clinics at the beginning of the year when the reps come and talk ....

pro deals, free tuning/shop work and shwag are good benefits..thats about all you can get out of working in a shop!!

I worked for a season at a family friend's store..

I definitely got some awesome deals, free shirts from time to time and free tune ups / repairs / mounts / waxes so long as I did them and the store was not to busy.

The only downside was the store catered more to racers than freestyle, but I got to speak to the K2 reps / Volkl reps and could request skis if worst came to worst.

All in all a fun time, but having one of your parents best friends tell you that your skis were way too big for you every day for a season got old fast. I guess some people are stuck in the past.

yeah i'd have to recommend skis 15-20 cm shorter than I would use to people buying their first set of carvers haha..but when people come in buying park skis its a different story..

on another note some of my favourite past times are listening to the amount of shit buyers talk when they come into the shop

My favorite thing about working in a shop, besides the schwag, discounted or free skiing and pro deals, having people come in and ask me what the super wide skis are for. When I tell them powder, they say, " we don't get powder in California" and then I try to explain to them that even if it is not as light as the snow in colorado or utah, when there is a couple feet of fresh a ski that will float you through it is still required, they just look at me all confused. At that point I give up and sell them the Apache Raiders that suit them perfectly. FUCKIN IDIOTS lol
