So, I just had ACL reconstruction surgery and my meniscus tear shaved down. They put me on Percoset for pain and it makes me ITCH! Right after surgery I kept on itching my face and nose until it turned all red and hurt to do. Now I have been taking Benedryl to stop the itching but that makes me even more drowsy. Plus I've been getting crazy dreams from all these meds. Does this happen to anyone else?
 
haha i just had my wisdom teeth out and got perks and yeah for some reason my nose was itchy as fuck all the time..doesnt really help you, but whatever
 
Percoset made me really loopy. Like, I sat at my desk in school for an hour making a paper airplane that I thought was awesome but was really just a piece of paper with a bunch of random folds in it. I drew these AWESOME flames on it that were really just blobs.
 
Yeah, i was staring at this freckle on my leg and I thought it was a bug cause it was moving so i tried to smack it, but it was just a freckle.

I'll assume you were on something stronger and now got moved to this? if so then it is normal for you to itch. Or if you've been on it for a few days you've developed a tollerence to it so it makes you itchy~!
 
When I broke my thumb it was sooo messed that they put me on pecoset. It had no side affects on me though. It was so nice, once I felt pain I would take a pill and it would stop. No side affects.
 
yeah having an itchy nose/face/head/body in general is normal when you're taking opiates for pain. the itch is a lot easier to deal with than the pain is tho
 
Ah yeah it does help with the pain immensely! Although I'm a dumbass and just put a ton of weight on my bad leg. So super smart Abbie. Hahaha

I'm feeling the same way, just had knee surgery and i'm on all pain medicine and muscle relaxation pills, i can hardly keep my eyes open. I keep dreaming of my leg being better but i kind of like this feeling of relaxation hahahaha

I had surgery on my foot last week and am on oxycontin and I know exactly what you mean about the itch. I have monster scratches on my stomach and sides from itching while I was half asleep/passed out.
