People you've met at the mountain

Thinking back, most of my friends I've met while skiing. I've also had some cool conversations with people I didn't even know. Lets hear some stories.

My parents met at my local hill when my dad was an instructor and my mom was working at the ticket counter. It's safe to say I'm alive because of skiing.

Wow, that's pretty cool - your dad and I have something in common. We both met your mother at the mountain.

Bean dip. The 50 year old ski patroller that was a little off and had me and a friend spit on a rail and shine it up for insurance pictures.

Probably have some good stories of him. Idk been working at ski area for 16 season. Def some fucking characters and good or bad i mean that in the best way possible.

Went up the lift with some snowboarders who handed me a G-pen. Pretty sure they got caught and had their passes suspended.

Riding by yourself but being social on the chairlifts is probably the easiest way to meet the biggest variety of people.

A few weeks back I talked to a guy who was a Phd Analytical Chemist for Proctor and Gamble. He had a sick touring setup that I asked him about and he goes on to tell me him an his ski buddies have taken trips all over world, including heli ski trips and a 14 day backpacking trip from hut to hut in the Alps. I did a few runs with the guy, he ripped for being nearly 50.

The same day I also met a nice guy who asked me what I was studying in school. I told him aeronautical engineering and he exclaims 'Oh sweet that's what I do for GE aviation!' So then I asked him if he was based at the HQ in Cincinnati and he goes 'Yeah, as a matter of fact, you aren't looking for an internship this summer, are you?' Unfortunately I have other plans for this summer, but it's still pretty dope to say I was pretty much offered an internship on the chairlift, especially to a company like GE

Met a bro a couple months ago at the local hill on the lift, thought he was a friend of my friend and kept mentioning my friends name around him until i realized he did not know said friend at all. We shred whenever were both at the mountain, cool ass dude
