It really pisses me off, for instance, a while ago i said did armada have a delam problem, all these people go, Nuh dude they're bombproof and shit, now i've since got a pair, and within a bloody day, they're delamin' at the sides, and really easy to scratch and chip... now its different if you're pair doesn't do it, but if you hadn't ridin it SAY IT then your thoughts...

ok, I've had my skis a little over a year and they are fine. a few scratches but I couldn't care less. They are totally fine. Besides me cracking the edge last saturday on a rail.

 
Yeah, maybe the people that said that they were bombproof never had any problems with them. Maybe, based on their experience, they were telling the truth. Or maybe they were just bulllshitting, but don't make assumptions.

i can understan your concern about the delam, but the nicks and scratches don't mean shit and are probably just from you hitting them together and on other shit. but on the other hand, what do you consider delamming? i know people who nick up the sides of their skis from spinning and grabbing and shit, then say they're skis are delamming. is it an actual delam problem that might risk water getting into the core? or is it all cosmetic? if it's an actual delam i'm sure armada will cover that under warranty. if it's not then quit crying and go out and beat those sons of bitches untill they do delam, then send them back

I think the term bombproof relates to the fact that they don't snap in half like pocket rockets. Chipping the topsheet is a different issue.

skimack - PRs dont snap. Never heard of them snapping. Oh yeah did i mention i've been riding a pair of the original PRS and they're still riding strong. If anything the PRs are bombproof, i've thrown these puppies off numerous cliffs and booters, slid a truckload of rails and generally put them through hell and they're still fine

^I think he was referring to the spaceframe, and how it's prone to breakage more than previous salomon skis. So the new PRs aren't as sturdy as the old ones... but the width probly helps them, they must be a little stronger than new 1080s.

 
I don't ride PRs because I demoed them, and overpowered them on my first run. But I have watched two people I know snap theirs in half, and I know a shop guy who tells me stories of people coming in with broke PRs, so yeah, that's my experience with that. Since Salomon injects foam into the spaceframe it causes air pockets in the ski, which, if located in flex points infront of or behind the binding causes the ski to break pretty easily.

hgahah, its funny to see all of the people who defend the PR. They get so upset when you dis the ski!! Dont act like its 'impossible' to snap the ski.

Admittedly, I have not tried the armadas, The concepts are there, but the construction does look a tad bit weak to anyone who knows about construction of quality skis. Now, I am not saying that they are weak, as I said already I have yet to get on a pair, for all i know they are the most rippin' ski out there. I hope to give them a spin @ the EWSR on snow demo next month if they are representin' at this show. New companies mean progression of the sport, so I am all for it...
