People take hating way too seriously

I keep hearing on this website "spreading the love" to the point where its wicked annoying. My question is why people take offense to every little thing some person says.

example: I like to rollerblade sometimes and think it is a sick sport. Some ignorant bastard is going to say how gay i am (I know ahead of time im going to get shit for this by these people). But who cares? I just skip over the stupid comments. Plus people react to that and chances are the person who said it won't read the thread again anyway. Or just be like ron burgandy and agree to disagree
 
i think people hate some much on this site and there are many toher sites out there that people hate on but they do this to try and be the coolest or the touhghts or some thing iam not really sure iam just trying to soud smart

because it's just annoying that it exists in the first place (the un-necessary comments ex: "that's so gay you like to rollerblade blah blah blah")

but i agree, people should probably just ignore them. they're stupid comments and don't really add anything to the thread anyway.
 
hey man you can say any word but gay because i was learnig in school that the word gay really offemces people who are actually attracted to the people of the same sex and in which it makes the suicde rate of these people go up at a terrible rate

try to understand he is not asking why people hate. he is asking why some people take it so seriously. which i too wonder. how can you take offense to what some 13 year old kid said to you on the internet.
 
thats called cyberbullying learned that in grade 8 pdr and most kids who cyber bully are nerds or have nolife
 
no kidding it's not like if u dont say nything back ur gunna get beat up or anything...and who cares what other people say...if u thought what u said in the firstplace was right(opinions and such) then for you it is right and dont let anyone else tell u otherwise and if they do who cares
 
because you don't follow the crowd you are criticized.

remember, a critic is someone who makes negative judgements and predictions about other people. unlike mentors, who focus on how others can improve themselves, critics are not interested in helping their targets improve. in fact, they seem to enjoy watching people fail. its like they enjoy watching their predictions come true.

negative critics have a common trait--their only talent is voicing negative predictions. often they are jealous of people with real talent.

but critics are a necessary part of our social system. they screen out those who lack the courage and the resolve to take criticisms and triumph in spite of them.
 
Before posting, always think to yourself, "Am I being predictable?" If the answer is yes, ask yourself this follow-up: "Am I being so predictable I deserve to be summarily executed by a guy with a large axe?" If the answer is yes, as it was in this case, don't be like philip. Don't post.
