People on Newschoolers.

I really don't understand people at all. Talking about my photo "Ghost Ride The Whip". People jump to conclusion way to fast on things. They say that photo are "fake" or videos or it didn't happen. Some people don't have access to video cameras. My friend did the rail to impress his friends at school. Not to impress the kids in newschoolers who think they're hot shit and think they know everything. When one skier balls up and gets creative you assume it's "fake" or photoshopped". I personally would not do a rail on top of a car because its sketchy as hell. All I'm trying to say don't jump to conclusion on things when you are absolutely wrong and making yourself look like a douche.

the photo is sick, you know it's real, just do your thing and leave it at that.

Picture looks sick. I'd like to give it a go for me and no one else. Trying to impress anyone and admitting will probably end in a few frowns anyway.

It matters tho?

It's the internet, don't be such a pussy.

Also switching from upvote to downvote for pointless thread.

The only reason people on NS say that your photo is fake is because some of them haven't seen it happen as a summer setup in real life before. I haven't seen anyone do that before as a summer setup but I was amazed that the guy had the creative idea to put a PVC rail on top of a Corolla and just went for it. Props to the guy who hit it.

The most impressive part is getting speed for it. Also everyone saying its fake, either way it'd be hard as hell, I'd definitely say easier actually hitting it

post the original image. the one that's straight off the camera. the image you posted has been cropped and all the exif data removed. kind of suspicious.

I have faith it's real though.

I'm sorry but seriously I don't know one person who has skis that doesn't have access to a camera... even a camera on a phone??? It just puzzles me to even start believing in what you're saying or that picture still. If it is real then god damn that's insane. If you didn't care about what people on NS think then why didn't you just post it on Facebook or some shit? If you did it once then why can't you do it again later this summer? I am still very skeptical.

Also you sound like you're 12 complaining about people saying it wasn't real, many people photo shop fun pictures on NS so you have to see where they are coming from. And just because there is a shadow of the skier in the background doesn't make it real, you can do that on Photoshop.

This wasn't a planned out thing. they weren't planning on skiing at all the other day none of them have a go pro. It's just like "oh this is a cool idea lets go do it". It wasn't planned

I'm 17, and it was sketchy as fuck and super risky and he's grounded cause his mom thought it was going to mess up his car. I don't even know how to use photoshop or have it. You don't have to believe it or not. I was just getting pissed when kids think they know everything and assume shit. You feel?

Haha well he seems to be pretty sensitive about what people think of him, it's the next best thing after murdering his family

this is where I have trouble believing the legitimacy of the picture. If one can afford to ski, and have access to a still camera, chances are they can take a video. I dont think there are many cameras around that dont have a video option.

Not saying it's fake, but even with the picture its still pretty unbelievable.

I'm not saying it's fake... but the jump onto the rail ontop of the car is a not even 2ft wide plastic skateboard ramp you can buy at dick's. I find it incredibly hard to believe someone went off that and popped up onto a rail ontop of a fucking car. Maybe in the winter? But you're telling me you went off a turf/msnow/whatever drop in and got enough speed to go of a cheap plastic ramp and pop up ontop of a rail on a car? If you don't have a video then obviously people are going to say it's fake. Also who the hell would try that without it being video taped?

Yes, zooming in is very revealing.

I can see you had string ON TOP of the rail? I'm amazed at anyone would try to slide that without catching.. There are three instances where there is string showing

There's no string on top of the rail dog. There's a giant hill so he got speed. For the substance he skied on was fake astro turf you can by from any hardware store. And plastic ramps work great for skis even during the winter. I bring one alone when ever I do urban because I'm to damn lazy to build a lip.

there is clearly something up and over the rail, what is it? Or is that just "shadows"? give it up dude, we know you can't produce any more evidence because your photo is staged as hell

if that ski under the rail is a so called shadow, the sun is behind him so wouldnt the shadow be in front of him? not under him?

In the picture he commented at some kid "@noddard just regular plastic kicker ramps you buy at Walmart or sporting goods store" and in this thread he also said "And plastic ramps work great for skis even during the winter. I bring

one alone when ever I do urban because I'm to damn lazy to build a lip" So yes it is in fact a cheap ass plastic ramp from dick's/walmart/wherever. Now do you honestly believe someone hit that small plastic kicker and landed on a rail ontop of a car and did a back 4 out?

No way that ramp would have put you onto the rail. Either you'd shoot too high up and come right down, or get on the rail but slam down so hard itd kill your speed.

The reason there are people saying it looks fake is because it looks fake. Not because they're assholes. The fact that his back skis' shadow matches up perfectly with his front ski makes it look pretty fake, so I understand why people were skeptical. Pipe down.

You say it wasn't planned but if I was putting a rail on my car and hitting it I would have at lest 2 people pull out their phones if not bring some cameras because I want to look back at that later in life and say "Damn I was dope as hell back then!"
