People magazine is a joke

it makes me sick to see people whose lives revolve around celebrites and tv personalities such as paris hilton, OC crew, and whoever the fuck is the hottest pop star now.
 
Which is why I love south park. What other show is dedicated to downplaying celebrites as much as, and as bruitally as south park does. The one where Tom cruise is in the closet = Genious.
 
south park never ceases to impress me... im always like damn those guys are sick but incredible brillant
 
Yeah, I totally agree. I could go talk to my neighbor for 10 minutes about the current events in his life and hear more interesting stories than anything in those stupid fucking magazines can say. Oh look Brittany Spears got divorced again!! How exciting.

I dont get why people are so intrested in the lives of strangers and people they will never meet. If they spent half as much time trying to find out things about their friends and aquaintces, or even the dude who sits across from them on the bus every morning... well i dont know exactly what it would do, BUt i have a strong feeling that it would be benificial
 
i was scrolling thru one of the many mtv channels and caught that rotten show 17 or something like that, what a bunch of skanks battling for a job at the mag, brbrbrpppp f'n stoopid
 
im more of a Vogue fan...i like to make clothes though so its not like i read it for my health
 
Only for some people. I mean there are tons of people that know and follow the ski industry that could probably tell you who tanner rides for. But what else would the point of sponsors be? They sponsor the ones who represent their product the best. I don't think people magazine is like this site at all.
 
well since theres countless magazines with the same idea's and they not only stay in business but can manage to make quite a bit of money...... id say they're on to somthing
 
the way that america treats its celebreties likes icons is disgusting. there is nothing different abotu them except that they are rich.

this is just another example of the arisoctracy on AMerica
 
Because people feel marginalized and small in todays globalized cultural structure. They learn and love celebrites becasue it provides for them an easy escape from the mundane nature of their own lives.

Its pretty fucked up though. Im not a fan of putting celebrity up on some societal pedistal. They are just people in my mind; some of them good, some of em bad.
 
my sister loves those type of magazines she has a subscription to people and entertainment weekely and star and us weekly and all that shit she like bookmarks pages and brings them shopping with here and imitates all of mischa bartons outfits... it's redonk
